It is disappointing that our customer has had a very bad experience with my company. The customer had attempted to replace, themselves, multiple multi-location switches on inner connected circuits and was not able to accomplish what they set out to install. When we arrived there were multiple switches that had been disconnected and had not been properly identified. There were wires that had been left disconnected and protruding out of the electrical boxes at the wall switches. With there being multiple switches that controlled the same lighting, it did require us to return the 2nd day with an additional Master Electrical so we could properly trace with electrical meters the wiring circuitry and properly reconfigure the wiring that had been previously disconnected by others. We did provide the home owner pricing, prior to making needed repairs, to properly trace and reconfigure wiring and even with the amount of switches that had been removed and scope of work that increased and needing to return an additional day with an additional Master Electrician, we honored the original pricing given and there were no additional amounts charged. It is disappointing that the customer felt they received a bad service experience and did not find adequate value in the service we performed for them. It is continually the focus of my company and staff to provide the utmost in ethics, quality of service, and valuing our customer to the utmost while giving the highest level of customer satisfaction.

Description of Work: They replaced a vanity light in the bathroom It was supposed to be just replacing the light but as so many other tasks it was much more. The wires were hard wired into the light. There was no back box. He had to install a back box before he could add the light. Dudley was so kind and explained what he had to do. I felt he was very respectful of me. I would hire them again and recommend them to anyone. They deserve the highest award from Angie's list.

Ashpaugh Electric certainly does not want to ever over charge one of our valued clients. We utilize a pricing system which provides our clients a guaranteed price for the electrical items needing repair throughout their home. We provide this guaranteed unit repair pricing prior to the work being done. This takes away all unnecessary stress in dealing with home repairs as it guarantees pricing before any work is completed. We do provide, as part of our customer service, a $70 trip and assessment fee. This $70 fee includes the first 15 minutes of electrical diagnosis. If electrical diagnosis is complex and requires longer time be taken then we provide pricing for diagnosis before beginning further involved electrical testing. We did provide for Mr. [removed member name]pricing to repair his electrical work prior to beginning the installation. Mr. [removed member name]gave us his permission and we made the necessary repairs to complete the inoperative situation in his home. We continually strive at Ashpaugh Electric to provide the utmost in customer satisfaction with very competitive value pricing.

Description of Work: I contacted Ashpaugh to schedule a consultation for installing an electric dryer outlet in my basement. The front office staff was very helpful and pleasant on the phone. Before my scheduled appointment, I had to postpone the work for some other projects (still on hold at present). Ashpaugh has kept in touch and even followed up with a phone call to check on my progress. We did make an onsite visit to access the electrical systems throughout their home. We did advise them in a written document that the electrical circuitry, conduit, and their electrical systems are in such a degraded condition that the electrical infrastructure throughout the interior of their home and areas on the exterior need to be replaced in their entirety for their personal and property safety. In the assessment of the property there was a good deal of work that required viewing electrical wiring by removing covers, plates, and inspection lids throughout the residence. I did make a subsequent onsite visit meeting with [member name removed]. The [member name removed] were wanting to completely remodel their kitchen and pantry areas. Unfortunately, due to the existing electrical circuitry, covered over junction boxes within the walls, ceilings, and floors, poor electrical infrastructure, and plastered wall and ceilings, substantial interior disruption would be required for this project. Their family was still living in the residence throughout the remodeling project and I felt it necessary to decline the opportunity.
