We really enjoyed Bill Lambert and the main pool foreman, Ron. Ron would always get back to me in a matter of minutes which was very helpful. This is our first pool, so we had a lot of questions. Although the process took longer than we anticipated (we had a lot of moving parts going on at once....pavers, landscaping, irrigation, pool, etc), we are thoroughly enjoying our pool. We haven't had any problems thus far, but as with any pool, I'm sure some problems may arise. The service guys have been great to work and have been extremely patient in answering our many questions.

As far as the service goes I would give them an A. The office contact back on returning our calls and receiving our messages has not been great, I would give them a B on that.

On price I would give them a B but on service I would give them a C. I’m not too happy with them right now. There’s an issue with a piece of equipment that goes with the pool and if they get it taken care of I’ll keep them. If they don’t, I won't.

I was impressed with their voicemail, but I've had no response from them personally.

We had a hard time locating the septic field and Bill Lambert worked with the city and private contractors to properly place the pool. He put a lot of time and effort into this project and when the pool was in, it was perfect! What a crew! Each and every person, whether in the office or on-site, was exceptionally helpful, friendly and cared about my satisfaction. I had a lot of questions and they were all very patient with me. I also had them come out to clean the pool for me several times and these guys were professional but at the same time, friendly and fun, too! They closed the pool for the season and are scheduled to open it. Wouldn't have anyone else maintain any part of this pool, 5 stars!

Overall, they seem like a company that is very accessible, experienced and knowledgeable.

We obtained several quotes from competitors and selected Perma Pools because we felt that Ron Frushon provided honest up-front advise on what we did and did not need in constructing the pool; he would be co-ordinating the installation on a personal basis from start to finish. We had been warned by friends who used a competitor company and had good experience with the salesman at the start of the process, but subsequently had to deal with multiple crews arriving on site with little knowledge of what was going on. There are a multitude of decisions that need to be made throughout the process and we relied heavily on Ron to guide us throughout. We were very happy with the process and the end result is fantastic. In regards to determining what type of pool to choose Ron has a tremendous amount of experience in the industry and we felt very comfortable that he had our best interests at heart. Many of the competitor companies tried to sell us 'add ons' (which obviously added to cost) that he simply did not advise on the basis that they did not work as well as advertised; he advised on the right type of pool for us and provided very good safety advise on size and shape which is especially important when you have young children. During the building process Ron was on site on a daily basis and was available on the phone day, night and holidays to answer our questions and deal with issues. We were kept fully appraised of the work schedule (which is to a large extent determined by the weather) and knew in advance what activities were taking place. The specialist teams that would come in were always extremely polite, friendly and professional and kept the yard tidy and safe. They went 'above and beyond' to minimize the hassle to us. Ron arranged quotes for our retaining wall and stamped concrete deck that we have been very happy with and also access to other Perma Pool installations to see for ourselves examples of concretes and pools. We have also been very happy with the post-installation care from Perma-Pools. The pool school was very useful and the company has always been very quick to send out service personnel to 'fine-tune' the equipment for us. A month or so after installation our sprinkler company accidentally cut through the pool service pipes; within hours Perma Pools were on the site to repair and clean-up the situation which was no fault of theirs. In summary, we were extremely pleased with Perma Pools and in particular the quality of service provided by Ron and his team. It was second to none and we would highly recommend the company.

In the weeks following the pool opening, our pool became very cloudy, and as new pool owners we relied on the expertise of Perma Pools to help us get the chemicals back in shape. In fact, we were very grateful that they would work with us to offer advice via phone, and given other positive reviews on Angie's List, we thought we could trust them. One of the problems with our chemicals was that we never had any free chlorine. Despite following Perma Pools advice to shock the pool with liquid chlorine repeatedly, the chlorine never stayed in our pool. I suspected problems with the chlorinator (it was not using tablets quickly) and suggested this on multiple calls with the service manager, by whom I was told, "I have been doing this for 25 years and you should not question my advice." After more than three weeks of a cloudy pool and repeated calls to the service manager to gather advice on chemicals to add, we asked them to come out and look at our equipment. They made a service call and just shocked the pool with liquid chlorine then told us it should clear up (we requested a visit to inspect our filter and equipment). In defense of one of the service technicians, he did suspect a problem with the chlorinator at this time (though he didn't fix it). After about another week, we requested again for Perma Pools to come and look at our equipment (mostly our filter). Through our phone calls, they suspected that maybe we needed to change the sand in our filter or replace the sand filter entirely. When they came to look at the equipment, they found no issues with our sand filter, but they made a change to the check valve on the chlorinator (which they had installed at the beginning of the season), and our pool has been clear and maintaining chlorine levels all season since. The service technicians admitted the change to me, but reported on the ticket that they checked the equipment and everything was good. The invoice was no charge, but just said "check pump flow". We have not contacted Perma Pools since they fixed this mistake and likely will not use the company again. The error when they installed the chlorinator and the unwillingness to check their work or admit fault cost us a lot of time, energy, frustration and hundreds of dollars in chemicals, as well as an extra $60 service call from them.

We talked to several neighbors who had installed pools over the past 5 years, and then met with 3 local pool companies. Perma Pools and Ron Fushion's name kept coming up with very positive comments. Ron was our salesman. He listened to what we thought we wanted, and then gave us his professional opinions. He was with us every step of the way. We had heard about how responsive he was, and we too have been so fortunate to experience his great responsiveness. He has fielded all of our questions and concerns so quickly. He never makes us feel like our questions are stupid, despite the fact that some of the questions were probably us just worrying too much. He was on the job most days to check in, and would call us on a very regular basis to see if we had any questions or concerns and to update us. Our pool has been done since July 1, and we are still experiencing the same customer care. One of the guys who works there, Chad, has been unbelievable as well. His customer service is second to none. We have 2 kids, and our son has been particularly interested in watching the process. If the guys working would see our son, they would engage him in conversation about what they were doing. Overall, we could not have been any happier with the process and using Perma Pools. Would strongly recommend Perma Pools if you are thinking about installing a pool.

Our first meeting was with Bill Lambert to begin discussing pools. He came to our home and a time convenient for us. He was incredibly knowledgable and helped us think through the type of pool and size of pool we wanted. We then met with both Bill and Ron to determine exactly what style of pool, size, and options we wanted. There were lots of decisions to be made, but they were very helpful in telling us pros and cons for various options and decisions. We signed our contract and anxiously awaited the time when our construction would begin. And then spring came with one of the wettest seasons in terms of rain! Construction was delayed a few weeks, but Ron and Bill were both very good about contacting us to let us know about delays and new expected construction dates. Once construction began, Ron was hands on in checking in on the progress both on site and via phone. Whenever there was a delay of sorts, he would call to let me know. The crews that were out here working were very nice and hard working. They always cleaned up at the end of each day. Other than delays caused by the weather, our pool construction went smoothly. And the end result is nothing short of beautiful! Thank you to Perma Pools for being so nice to work with and for giving us our own backyard oasis! We look forward to continuing to work with Perma Pools with opening and closing our pool each season!

We contacted Perma Pools to get a quote for opening our pool during their busiest time of year. In fact, the company we worked with in the fall was completely unresponsive, due to the volume of work. Perma Pools sent someone to drop in, look at the pool and the equipment and make sure they would be comfortable working with our system. By phone and email, we worked with Pamela get a cost estimate and schedule the service. She was always very helpful and responsive to email. She was also responsive by phone, though it was clear that there is a delay, given the volume of calls and the volume of work at this time of year. After agreeing to service on Friday in the late afternoon, they scheduled service for the following Tuesday (impressive, given that May and early June are very busy times for pool service). Cory and Joe came to do the work, and though it was later in the day than we expected (they arrived at 6:45 pm), we were pleased that they fit us in and continued to work after hours. We are first-time pool owners, having just moved into a home with a pool in the fall. Cory explained all of the equipment and necessary chemicals, cleaning and maintenance to us. He took extra time to be sure we felt comfortable maintaining the pool throughout the summer, and this was much appreciated. We will continue to use Perma Pools for pool service, as well as purchasing equipment and chemicals.

The entire process from start to finish was very smooth. It was started and finished when promised. They cleaned up their work site EACH evening. There was absolutely NO trash left in the yard. They were very careful around the existing landscaping. ALL of the employees on the site were polite and pleasant to work around. There was no vulgar language. We have had a large concrete decking poured around the pool by Perma Pools as part of the package and they did an amazing job coordinating with the landscaper on the new additions. We received detailed training on how to maintain our pool. I would recommend them to anyone wanting a pool. We had a problem with the 1/2 of the concrete decking (we had two different loads of concrete delivered) that appeared during the winter of 2010/2011. We contracted Perma Pools(PP). After looking at the concrete and talking with the concrete supplier, it was determined to be a bad batch of concrete. PP stood behind the concrete without question. They determined it needed to be removed and replaced. The concrete supplier did not stand behind their product but PP did. They replaced this concrete for us June 2011 with minimal disruption and no expense to us. It was started and completed as promised. They were absolutely amazing in the way they took care of us. I wish all industries that provided a product and subsequent service were as nice as Perma Pools was to work with. They delivered MORE than they promised in every phase and aspect of this process. We have had a couple of questions on maintaining the pool and they have answered or sent someone to show us at no charge.

They are great. They are sufficient, provide good customer service, and are professional.

The service went fantastic. They communicated very well and the price was very affordable. They showed up on time and completed the work in a timely manner. They were very professional.

Ron Frushion is a true sales professional and has still to this day, answered my calls or calls me back the same day...even when it is service related questions that are long past the sale. He knows his products and worked diligently along with the rest of his team to install our pool in a timely and efficient manner. Chad was our construction foreman and again, was very knowledgeable, personable and truly cared about our project. They had very tough construction weather to complete our project. Our pool was built in April/May of 2010. We were fortunate to be able to get our pool installed before the rains of May began (around 14 inches fell that month, if you remember). They have a very knowledgeable service department and have always been very helpful and responsive. I can order chemicals and they will drop off at my house within a couple of days when they have trucks in the area. All in all, they were a great fit for us! I would highly recommend them!

I didn't go with them because it wasn't cost-effective. Ron was the guy that came out and he was really great. I liked him. I didn't go with them strictly because of cost. They were great. I would definitely use them in the future.

I spent around $50000 for the pool and the decking around it. They over promised on how quick they could get it in. There were some weather variables with a wet June. They over promised on installation on the front end, but made it hold on the back end completely. So, their owner was very fair and made sure that we were happy by the end of the process. So we would recommend them going forward. I would use their services in the future too.

They were very good. The guy kept in contact with us and communicated. We had a very good experience. It took a long time to get the permit and get the pool started. However, I am not sure if it was their problem.

Called perma pools to attempt to get my pool closed. She took my info and stated she would get back to me. 24hours passed. I called again and she stated that she wanted to get someone out to my home to look at my pool setup so that they could be sure they could close it. I never heard from anyone after that. It would have been simply good business to call me and tell me they didnt want or could not do the work. No call at all is simply very poor practice. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ I wanted to update my Angies List report--the president of Perma Pools contacted me and offered apologized for the miscommunication. I do appreciate the follow-up on the issue. I will keep them in mind for future work on our pool.

It went very smooth. They had it installed in a timely manner. Ron was always prompt with any service issues that we had. They were very friendly. The pool looks fantastic.
