Description of Work: Utter disgust of Menard's. I will NEVER shop there again and I can't understand why companies can't stand behind their products. I took a broken chainsaw back not knowing the return policy. The rep called the chainsaw "junk!" Unfortunately since it was past 30 days they couldn't help me. I needed a chainsaw immediately so I bought a new one BECAUSE I was told I had 30 days to bring it back if I didn't like it. They didn't tell me I could not put gas or oil in it. After I used it for 1 day it broke and they won't take it back because I put gas and oil in it. STAND BEHIND YOUR PRODUCTS. DON'T MISLEAD PEOPLE. I WASTED $300 AND HAVE 2 BROKEN CHAINSAWS.

Long story short, I had attempted to rent this sander from two other Menards but they had either broke or had faulty Velcro pads. This was my last attempt to rent this thing and get my hardwood floors done. The sander I received from this store was in FANTASTIC shape. It did the job well and was easy to use. From my understanding, Menards does not service or even own these machines and I believe this is why I had such a hard time finding one that actually worked. This location saved me and I appreciate that they kept their machine in good order.

UPDATE: Menards made this right by offering me the product at said price.
Description of Work: On 10/14/11 @ 1230 i went to Mendards to buy the 18" Electric Snow Thrower they had on a "3 Day Sale" The three day sale was from Today until Sunday. So basically, it's the first day of the sale. I went in and asked for the snow thrower and was told immediatly without hesitation that they have none. I asked if there were going to be any more come in. I was told, "Don't know". I then asked if any other store in central Indiana had the item and after checking the computer was told no. I asked how many they had on stock at the start of the day and was told 1. The person helping me did say they had 35 on stock on 10/10/11. But wierd enough, only 1 in stock at the start of their sale. I guess there was a mad rush to buy up 34 units before the sale (according to what I was told). I inofrmed the person helping me out that I thought this sale was a way to get people in the store with no intention of selling said product. I asked then to speak with a manager. The CSR got on the phone and then hung up and said his manager was on lunch break and unavailable. The CSR did not offer another manager. I asked if anything else could be done and they did mention the Bloomington store had 1 left. Originally I thought about going to Bloomington , but this would be a 2hr round trip endeavor. Multiple calls have been made to the store and store management over the last week, but noone can tell us where our lumber is or even when it will deliver. We've been told a few times "it should deliver today", but it has yet to show up and noone seems to know when it will show up. Today 4/14, we called the store and were told the pickets would deliver tomorrow 4/15, but as of 4/14/2010 18:58 the order is still not showing as picked and shipped to the local store for delivery tomorrow. We have filed a complaint with their corporate office, and are waiting for a response from them. We do not intend on purchasing any future materials from this location based on this one experience, unless resolution to this situation is reached quickly.
Description of Work: As a contractor, we special ordered lumber for a privacy fence and were verbally guaranteed the entire order would deliver on 4/9/10. We began tearing the old fence down on 4/9/10, when we received a call from the store that the pickets (dogears) would not be delivering until the next day 4/10/10. It is now 4/14/10, more than 2 weeks have passed, we still have no pickets (dogears), and noone at the store is able to tell us when our fencing material will arrive! What we do have is one incredibly angry customer. Our customers house backs up to a busy road, and we tore down the old fence believing the store would deliver on time as they committed. We had to salvage the old fence sections and secure them to the new posts. It looks horrible, and our customer is very angry about the whole situation. The yard is not secured for her dog and is nearly open to a very busy and noisy road (the old panels are rotting from water damage). Multiple calls to the Contractor Services desk and to store management have gotten us nowhere fast.
