"First, we agonized over leaving this review but feel obliged. We hired Adam Cullinare/Shamrock to: 1. Repaint kitchen cabinets. Was assured "glass like" finish. Not only are they not glass-like smooth, but are already peeling. Have to be redone. 2. Remove decorative wall @3 feet. He removed wall easily but unable to smooth out adjoining wall/ceiling or replace baseboard and flooring. The wall looked mangled; baseboard not replaced; and the floorboards he applied are nailed and glued together with wood caulk. Mind you, these are interlocking laminate floorboards that don't require glue/nails. Several nails protrude from floor. We and pet stepped on several times - it's like stepping on nails/puncture feet. 3. Paint job was inferior. Light coats, maybe to save on paint? Sloppy and slow job. We had to repaint all areas. 4. Quoted job as 2.5 week to finish. After 4 we let him go. Must have work redone. Not happy. Poor craftsmanship. Overstates abilities. Positive? He's nice guy."

"This was a difficult, 5-day job that involved removing a few layers of old wallpaper, patching a water-damaged textured ceiling, and painting our kitchen, family room, foyer, stairwell and upper hallway. Michael and his crew were punctual, very personable and considerate. They were also total perfectionists, and did an amazing job! Will definitely hire them again in the future."

"Overpriced! 5 hours spent at our house over 2 days. I didn’t see an itemized list of charges until the receipt after payment. Original estimate was over $2400! I removed items I knew our electrician could do for less. Estimate still $1800, but I thought I’d be happy with the quality. When I received the itemized receipt afterward, I noticed they charged $189 to repair the porch railing. This was minor repair - requiring 1-2 nails in 2 areas total. Buying an air powered nail gun costs less than $189. And they only fixed 1 of the 2 areas, so they didn’t even complete the task. The power washing done before painting the railing was minimal and suboptimal. I immediately contacted Mr. Handyman and was told that my questions would be reviewed. Silence. I’ve had an electrician come to our house- 8 hours of work including the 2 things that I removed from the Handyman list. Their work was more extensive (8 tasks), total charge $650. I’m blown away by how overpriced Mr Handyman is! Beware"

This is the second time they have undertaken a major project at our house; two years earlier they renovated our kitchen and two baths, installed new windows throughout the house, and painted the interior. They and their employees are not only true craftsmen but also genuinely nice people. They arrive on time as promised and work steadily and hard throughout the day--in this case working outdoors all day in the summer heat and humidity. Their prices are not inexpensive but, for us, the confidence we have in the excellent quality of their work and the professionalism of their team members makes the cost well worth it."
