PREMIUM INSPECTION SERVICES

We hired Scott to do a home inspection for a house we are purchasing. It is a foreclosure and a problem accrued the first appointment, the furnace didn't work so we could not turn on the water. Scott was very nice about it and re-scheduled the appointment at no charge to us. The second appointment, after being assured that the furnace was fixed, turned out to be the same thing, furnace not working(the joys of buying from the bank!). Anyway, Scott did the inspection and did a complete job on what he could. He was professional, but personable, and also did a nice job explaining everything.

Scott Surette arrived on time, explained in detail what his expectation would cover, reaffirmed the agreed price, then he began his inspection. He examined the plumbing system on first and second floor along with he electrical system, flooring, ceiling and windows. He then went into the attic to evaluate the condition of the roof, then also climbed onto the roof for an external evaluation. After more than two hours he provide me with a detailed report verbally, explaining all the areas of in need of immediate repairs followed by items that were of less concern. Lastly he told me when to expect the detailed hard copy report to be send via email complete with pictures of all areas where he made comment.

Scott was very thorough and very informative. I highly recommend him.

They did a great job and showed up when he said he would. The price was right on and he was very professional.

The inspection went well and Scott was forthright with me about areas for concern. He came out and did the inspection on very short notice and did a thorough job. He contracted out the radon work. My only concern with Scott was that he offered to assist in any way with interpreting the results and follow up questions on the report. My radon results came back high, and I called Scott to discuss them more specifically. I left Scott a message and he did not return my call. To be fair, I know he contracted out this service and does not advertise himself as a radon remediator (to my knowledge, at least). He may very well have chosen not to return my call because it was not his area of expertise. I would have preferred a quick call stating that, and letting me know I'm better off contacting his sub directly. Either way, I was a little surprised that he did not return my call at all. With that said, I thought he did a good job and I would hire him again.

I am very pleased with the experience and feel positively that I acquired the information needed to make decisions about the house I was considering to purchase. Major concerns I had was a crack in the foundation, water in the basement, and the mechanical and plumbing of the house. Knowing all of the needs of the house up front was extremely helpful in making decisions. Thank you, Scott!

Scott performed a very thorough inspection. He brought a number of issues to our attention, including some electrical system peculiarities, and a possible problem with the basement drainage system. In the three hours it took to inspect the house, we got a crash course in home ownership. The report was very detailed, including written descriptions and photos. My only (minor) complaint is that the report did not arrive until the day after we expected it. We still had time to negotiate with the seller, but it could have been a close thing if we delayed in getting the inspection done.

Overall it was a good experience. They had numerous suggestions to ensure mold did not become a bigger problem, such as sealing the crawl space from mice, and getting the water out of the crawl space. They took 3 air samples (one downstairs, one on the main level, and one outside). To have each tested cost $125, for total of $375. My only criticism was it took over a month to get the report, when Scott had told me it should take 5-7 business days. I had to call the home office a couple of times, and Scott too before he finally personally emailed the report to me.

They did a thorough inspection and provided good service. They provided me with a written report.

Inspector was thorough and professional. We were pleased with our experience. The report had color pictures and was available online for download which was very convenient. So far, no surprises in the new home.

The inspector arrived a "few minutes early";I arrived at the appointed time. In those "few minutes", he managed to complete the termite inspection, attic inspection, complete exterior inspection and was well into the interior inspection. I was told that they "don't inspect fireplaces, chimneys, inserts, hot tubs or window air conditioning units". We discussed the findings on site and then I received a written report via e-mail. Several of the issues that came up during the inspection were not in the report and upon calling their rep. was told the items "probably weren't significant anyway", and that if the rep. needed to amend the report as I requested that we could "probably work something out". How thorough can the inspect be if so many things were "inspected" during the few minutes that the rep had by arriving early? The non-inspection of the window units I can see, the hot tub, possibly but not to inspect fireplaces, chimneys and inserts? A cursory inspection was warranted.

Justin was our inspector and he was very detailed. He found several items along the way that the builer needed to fix. We are very happy that we paid the extra money to have these inspections done!!

I was very impressed with their thoroughness and professionalism. They gave me a complete report.

I was real happy with the job he did. He was very thorough. He told us about some leaking and a couple of drains and the tuck pointing that needs to be taken care. These are no major things, but they all needed attention.

There are no smoke alarms in the place so I need to call them about that. I am surprised they didn't mention it, but I will give them the benefit of the doubt.

That was the most thorough home inspection we've ever had. He took digital pictures and added them in the report also. We had to reschedule because the house wasn't ready, and they were very flexible.

Both the radon and mold testers were very professional and took the time to explain the processes. They were both on time, and completed the testing. No mold was detected but radon was.

Very thorough and knowlegeable. Inspector Rob Rehm was Ashi certified as requested, and he spent time answering all questions about concerns uncovered. They were on time and report was delivered within 24 hours.

Excellent experience. Would use this company again. Found water and mold in the crawlspace and other problems that I wouldn't have noticed. Schedulers were able to tell me that my inspector was ASHI certified and that he had been with the company for 8 years.

HE WAS QUITE FRANK AND A BIT RUSHED WHEN HE PERFORMED THE INSPECTION. HE RECOMMENDED THE ATTIC BE CHECKED AND INFORMED ME OF EVERYTHING I NEEDED TO KNOW, AS IT WAS MY FIRST HOME PURCHASE. I APPRECIATED HIS THOROUGHNESS AND EXPERIENCE. HE HAD BEEN IN THE BUSINESS FOR ABOUT 30 YEARS.

JERRY GIBBONS WAS VERY THOROUGH AND POLITE. BEING THAT THIS WAS A NEW HOME, GREAT CARE WAS TAKEN TO AVOID TRACKING IN DIRT, ETC. THE HOUSE INSPECTION TOOK ABOUT ONE HOUR OF ACTUAL INSPECTING THE INTERIOR AND EXTERIOR. HE WAS ABLE TO ANSWER EVERY QUESTION WE HAD, AND CAUGHT THINGS THREE (UNTRAINED) SETS OF EYES MISSED! THE REPORT PRINTING IS VERY SLICK. JERRY PHOTOGRAPHED ANY PROBLEM AREAS WITH A DIGITAL CAMERA, DOWNLOADED THE PICTURES TO HIS LAPTOP, AND COMPLETED THE REPORT. A COPY OF THE REPORT, WITH PICTURES, WAS PRINTED AND GIVEN TO US BEFORE JERRY LEFT. ON THE WAY OUT, THE CONSTRUCTION SUPERVISOR HAPPENED TO BE DRIVING BY. JERRY TOOK AT LEAST ANOTHER 15 MINUTES TO DISCUSS THE ITEMS THAT WERE FOUND, AND HELPED ADDRESS THEM. NOW THAT IS SERVICE.

GOOD EXPERIENCE. WE APPRECIATE THE OBVIOUSLY THOROUGH APPROACH. THEY EVEN INSPECTED THE CLOSET DOORS.
