"Troy Bain did a great job completing our bathrooms and living room remodeling projects. His work was both excellent and of high quality. Our old hardwood floors now look new and beautiful! He was also very adaptive and receptive to any of our requests throughout the project. I would highly recommend Troy for any of your remodeling projects."

Tharp Landscape and Lawn Care is a family owned, sole proprietorship that employs 2-6 people. The economy has made the exact number of people needed for the 2012 season an unknown as of 3/7/12, but I would expect 5 employees and myself. I enjoy working with my employees and prefer to train each person myself which makes for a consisrent service. We are a large enough company to handle many accounts yet small enough to appreciate each and every one. Tharp Landscape and Lawn Care was established in 1995 and services both residential and commercial accounts, approximately 30% and 70% respectively. Attention to detail is my mantra. This comes from my military experience where I served 4 years in the U.S. Army

Rototilling questions, answered by experts

The average cost to have rototilling done on your property is around $250, and most homeowners pay between $100 and $350. The total for your rototilling project will depend on the area you need tilled, the quality of the soil, how many roots and shrubs are in the area, and the accessibility of the area. Anything that increases the time to till your soil—like hard clay soil, small entrances to the area that require the use of smaller tools, and roots running through the ground—will all increase your costs.

While some areas may allow for a slope of up to 20%, this is often the maximum slope for driveways, with a few exceptions of up to 25%. Other regions may have a maximum of 12%, 15%, or 18%, so check with your local building department to ensure you’re laying a driveway that is up to code for your location.

Yes, hardscaping features bring value to your landscape, and they can even increase the value of your home. Hardscaping works best alongside professional landscaping. According to a survey by the National Association of Realtors and the National Association of Landscape Professionals, researchers found that hardscape upgrades, landscape upgrades, landscape management, and lawn care services are the top four outdoor projects that add value to a property for resale.

While parts of the appraisal are out of your control, there are some things you can do to potentially raise the home’s value. You can make necessary repairs and upgrades before the appraiser visits—an appraiser can only value what is currently part of the home, not its potential. You can also provide the appraiser with the cost of recent upgrades. The appraiser will likely increase the value of your home by about 50% or more of what you paid for those improvements.

Environmental considerations include native plant selection, wildlife habitation, erosion prevention measures, and managing water runoff patterns to protect the lakefront ecosystem.
