Customers say: True professional

"Wade has done many projects in our home. He installed doors, changed all lights switches, install lights, shelves, installed railing on patio, exhaust fans in bathrooms, shower/bath door . Wade was always quick to answer when I called, he was prompt, had everything he needed to complete project. He is friendly, courteous, extremely respectful. He is a jack of all trades. there was not anything he couldn’t tackle. I am sorry he moved away and I cannot utilize his services. I highly recommend him."

"He and his assistant were prompt, never complained about The terrible hot attic they had to work in to switch out a new Bluetooth bathroom exhaust fan. Walter Huyck is also a Veteran like myself and we felt really good about hiring him! He was very friendly, professional and did a great job!, even cleaned up afterwards! "The owner Pat came out to run wiring and hang our new ceiling fan. His wife (very nice) joined Pat as this is a husband wife team. They were both repectful and professional. Pat's wife was the one in the attic doing the work up there while Pat was in the living cutting the hole in the ceiling and hanging the fan. I would reccomend them to family and friends. As I had a good experience. We will be calling them in the future for more work. I hope this helps."

Ceiling Fans questions, answered by experts

Stainless steel or aluminum fans are long-lasting and have less air resistance. They are best for outdoor use as their durability helps them withstand unpleasant weather conditions. Their heavy weight requires a stronger motor, which leads to more noise than other blade materials.

Wooden fan blades are a classic, durable option. They are much quieter than metal fans and feature a wide range of styles and finishes to choose from. However, they can be damaged by moisture if not covered with plastic.

Plastic fan blades are lightweight, easy to clean, and versatile. There are various shapes and styles to choose from as plastic is easily molded and dyed. They will also deteriorate slower than other materials as they aren’t as susceptible to humidity and moisture.

Coffered ceilings often come with additional embellishments and accessories, including tin panels, medallions, trim, molding, recessed lights, and finials. Whether you’re looking for a simple grid pattern or want an elaborate, decorative ceiling with all the bells and whistles, there are plenty of options to choose from.

Though possible, installing a ceiling fan yourself requires electrical knowledge and confidence working with home wiring. Following the manufacturer's instructions carefully and observing safety precautions are crucial components of a DIY installation.

There’s no reason why you can’t install a ceiling fan anywhere in your home, such as in living rooms, offices, bedrooms, and dining areas. Most bathrooms already have ventilation and don’t need a ceiling fan. For safety purposes, avoid installing a ceiling fan where the blades will be less than eight feet from the floor, near bunk beds, or anywhere else they may hit nearby objects.

Yes, you can install a ceiling fan where a standard light fixture is, as the electrical wiring is often similar and may not need to be replaced. The most important step is to ensure the ceiling can support the fan's weight and motion. You will need to replace the existing light fixture's electrical box with a fan-rated electrical box, which is specifically designed to handle the extra weight and vibration. These boxes will be labeled as suitable for ceiling fan support and will indicate the maximum weight they can hold. Before you begin, also consider if you need an extension rod for a high ceiling or a special mount for an angled ceiling.
