"Gordie and his son, Hunter put stucco over an outdated floor to ceiling corner dark brick fireplace for us. We are so impressed with the work that was done. Gordieâ s easy-going laid-back personality makes it so easy to open up with your personal ideas for a project. He encourages your specific input and along with his creative suggestions, your final product far exceeds whatever you originally had in mind. He is an artist. We love the work that was done and they were a pleasure to have in our home."

"This was by far the easiest transaction on a project yet! Was on time for a free estimate, great value. Came and fixed it when he said he would. The estimate he gave was exactly what I paid. He did an amazing job on my ceiling. Oh yea! I had a leak from un upstairs shower in a 100 yr old queen Victorian home. After his plaster repair. It looks like nothing ever happened to it. Thank you! ."

Dennis Vance was a man of his word... He returned my call the next day and asked when it would be a good time to get together and look at what needed to be done... He was running a little late from another appointment and he called to tell me (I greatly appreciate that in someone)and gave me another time just a few hours later... He looked over and listened to all I had to say and gave me a price which was much lower than I had anticipated...  We discussed the time he would show - which was only 2 days later - He again showed promptly went right to work and before the end of the day I was very happy - especially when he cleaned and swept the areas he had worked in and after inspection was pleased to write him a check...   During the process He was quite the gentleman and we talked about may issues, he was just a fun man to talk to and seemed very knowledgeable about general issues (politics, hunting, home repair) - but really mattered most - plastering... which he has been doing from childhood helping his father and grandfather, which were also plasterers.

Do not hesitate to hire this individual -

This was the first time I had met him, but I asked for some cards of his business and he gave me several, which I have already started to disperse.....

Great job completed

Stucco questions, answered by experts

The best way to assess that your stucco needs repair is to inspect it, both visually and physically. If you notice cracks, chips, or staining, that’s a good indication that your stucco could use some TLC by a professional. Additionally, if you touch an area that feels soft and has a little “give,” you should consider repairing it as soon as possible to avoid further damage, both to additional stucco spots and to your home’s structure.

Damage is often caused by moisture, impact, or settling. Regular maintenance prevents significant issues.

Several clues suggest that your stucco is damaged or has underlying issues. Visual clues include discoloration, cracks, indentations, broken caulking, or visible mold. If you touch your stucco and feel any soft spots, that could also indicate a problem. If you notice any of these concerns, call in an inspector who can confirm your suspicions and help provide solutions.

Homeowners insurance may cover the cost of siding repair or replacement, but coverage depends on the cause of the damage. Most policies will cover damage from a covered event, such as a storm, wind, hail, fire, natural disaster, or other impact damage. Your policy might pay for the full or partial cost of the repair or replacement. However, damage resulting from age, general wear and tear, or neglect is typically not covered, and you should expect to pay for those repairs out of pocket. It is best to review your specific homeowners insurance policy for full details on what is covered, how to file a claim, and what documentation is required.

Solid, unpainted stucco shouldn’t suffer damage from dots of glue used for this task. If the stucco is dirty, you may notice slight marks when you heat and peel the glue away, but these aren’t permanent.

However, not all stucco walls are solid stucco. Some are “faux” stucco with a foam backing. This kind of stucco veneer is more susceptible to damage, including damage from hot glue. We don’t suggest attaching anything to these kinds of stucco walls, so make sure you check the stucco type before starting this project.
