They came to our house claiming that our roof and siding were damaged by hail, which they were, and that they would help us to get them replaced. We were told that our insurance would cover it and we wouldn't have to pay anything out-of pocket. According to the man that came by, there was more than enough of a markup in a roof and siding replacement to cover the deductible.
Shady already, but it made sense.
This all started in May of 2014. By November 2014, we were practically begging them to get the siding and roofing finished before Winter fully hit. They had already torn the siding off of the house and left it sitting with Tyvek for a month. They tore the gutters off the house and left the remnants hanging for three months.
Because our underground drainage system was left open for months, we developed a huge mouse problem throughout the house!
We caught at least ten mice inside the house! The mice had chewed up toys in the basement, gotten into the pantry, were under the appliances, and left poop all over. It turned into a huge problem.
They even destroyed a big pine tree by the side of the house and all of the evergreen bushes in the front of the house.
After the six month ordeal with T.H.E was over, we had to clean up literally hundreds and hundreds of nails all around the outside of the house and all over the yard. This was after multiple complaints and forcing them to come back out and clean up the mess they left.
We had two young children, who love to play outside, and there were hundreds of nails left all over.
When the home inspector for the insurance company came out to verify the work, she said she had never seen a work site left in as bad a condition as ours had been.
Now, two years after the work was finally finished, they've started calling us claiming we owe them $11,000!
In America, it is unbelievable that companies like this can exist and do business, praying on hard working families.

I called THE back, since the Insurance adjuster said that the company did an excellent job. We are calling them back. to do repairs that were lower than our deductible.
T.H.E did an excellent job on our gutters which never were slopped right - they corrected the issues in two spots of the building that we had constant overflow/back-flow issues. with new Gutters we never have problems. it is correctly slopped .
