Mike knew what he was doing, professional and didn't mind me watching him work. It was all done in about an half hour.

I've used Sears garage door service several times over the past decades. They are excellent for the most part. Knowledgeable and get it fixed right. Price seems reasonable to me as well. I recommend.

I called to have maintenance done on garage door. It had not been used for many years, and was making horrible noises going up and down.  When tech came out, he saw how old the opener was (approx 25 yrs old) and suggested purchasing a new opener. Ofcourse i said, "No" but then told him I needed a new remote as well, and I had been told over the phone the price of remotes. Due to the age of the opener, a receiver would have to be installed as well. When you added everything up, it was close to the price of the NEW garage door opener, two new remotes, a keypad coded entry access, and lighting (my older garage door opener lights had stopped working long ago. So, I purchased the new garage door opener, and the tech did the maintenance on the door as a freebie. I am so happy he suggested purchasing. He was not pushy, just knew what he was talking about. I would recommend this service to any of my friends without hesitation.  The tech worked very quickly, removed the old opener, and was very good at explaining and making sure i understood how everything worked, even the sensors (which I did not have since my old opener was so old) and especially the keypad entry.  I am thrilled to have access to my garage safely for the first time in many, many years.

It didn't cost me anything because I had insurance on garage. I had called him. He came out directly and inspected my garage door but then he wanted to change my garage door rather than change just the opener. He says the door is old and Sears won't guarantee you. I asked him how much is it going to cost to change the garage door it was $1200. I do not want to change a garage door just to be able to open a garage door. I just turned it down. He charged me 90 bucks but when I called Sears back they reimbursed my 90 bucks. He was good because I got my 90 bucks back. The person he sent out to do their work not so much. Sears was rather okay, but the guy that came out to do the work he gets like an "F" because he wanted to push me into something I didn't want to pay for. Pretty good quality.

Not very good. They didn't fix the problem. Nicor which is who we had the service with they had to send another company out and they fixed the garage door but Sears was not able to fix the problem. I was unhappy with their service. Their people didn't know what they were doing.

Okay. So far so good. Nothing different than before. I am satisfied. I really haven't any big complaints with them. They tell you sometimes we will be there between 8 and 12 the window is so big and then sometimes they are little late.

I just like the fact that they were very flexible with the scheduling and coming out and also prompt service. We didn't have to wait a long time to come out and install the garage door opener. It is working out really well. The door is actually closing smoothly now. The door is not vibrating. They were pretty comparable.
