I will start by stating that they were not the lowest estimate I received and that the workers were allowed to drink beer while on the job. The crew showed a complete lack of expertise in working with concrete. I originally wanted the concrete smooth, but they were not skilled enough to complete them properly, so I ended up with brush strokes on all the cement, except for the crooked front walk which looks horrible because I wanted it left smooth. My front walk/apron ended up crooked, as were the contraction joints they made, and the joint between the walk and the city sidewalk is not even. The front steps were never finished, the overlay was never poured. I was left with uneven brush marks on the steps, drip marks all throughout, sloppy looking steps and chunks of concrete around the edges. The walkways were already showing signs of crumbling a few weeks later, and I don't doubt that they won't make it through the winter. There were cuts made to existing concrete in the back of the house with power saws which I found out weeks later may have cut into the underground electrical wiring that led from the house to the garage, which I had to have fixed to the tune of $1000.00 out of my pocket. When the wiring was removed by the electrician, there were obvious straight cuts on the wires, but since I could not 100% blame it on the concrete workers, I ate the cost. I made repeated phone calls and sent emails, and received a phone call back confirming that the project manager saw the problems, acknowledged that they did not do a good job and that further repairs would need to be done. I followed up with an email where I was sent a reply stating they would schedule the repairs for me, but I got no results. My phone calls were met with " We will fix your problems when we have another job in your neighborhood". Three months later when I asked "If you don't get another job in my neighborhood, are you never going to fix your errors?, and I was told they would call me back in a few days. Suffice it to say, my calls were subsequently ignored and I was left with concrete which looks worse than what I started out with, crumbling concrete, horrible looking front steps, ruined landscaping that I can't fix until the concrete is repaired again, and a ruined back lawn from the ditch that had to be dug to repair my electric. All in all one of the worst contractors I have ever dealt with. They should not be doing work that they are obviously not qualified or skilled to do. A total disappointment. I would never, ever recommend this contractor to anyone.
