They did a great job. unfortunately it rained the same day and messed it up. They weren't liable. It was enough to rinse their job away. Initially when they did it , it was beautiful. Very nicely done. Quality was very good, when they finished it was perfect. They said they would be here at 8, they were here at 7:30. I would absolutely use them again.

!!SCAMMERS!! Fahey & Sons is more expensive than any other of its competitors. I figured I am going to get what I paid for so I went with them based on decent reviews. They charge me $5000 for 1500 square-foot driveway that a month later my cars are still sinking into. I called Mr. Fahey several times to inform him of the situation but he told me this happens that never returned my calls or offered a solution. When they were laying my driveway they rushed through every step of the process including compacting the asphalt with the roller. Due to poor workmanship and ****** materials my driveway turns into a swimming pool when it rains because it is so uneven and has absolutely no grade to it whatsoever. It also has potholes everywhere due to parking my vehicles on it. The driveway is two months old and looks like I have had it for five years. Do not use these pieces of S***!! We had 2 Drive dug out and installed stone - job completed to spec's - they do there job with care like its there own property. Guy's are hard works and made sure to clean up. With completed Drives - they made sure the pitch for water drain was correct. Posting now 7-18-17 and with the Major Rain we had - Drive is now Draining Correctly... We are So HAPPY NOW.... Professional efficient crew.

Everything was fine at the beginning they were professional and the job was done well. By the time they were done with the job, I was left with no outside power to my garage or my outside outlets. According to the electrician the underground wires were shorted out. I contacted them to let them know the underground wires were shorted out and he said he talked to his foreman and they did not see anything or do anything. I told him I feel it was an accident and it needs to be fixed. They told me they do not dig which implied they could not of shorted out the line. Make sure you are on site for the whole job and know that this can happen. Make sure to check your power at the completion of the job.

The owner called the night before to schedule a time because they had a job cancel.  That wasn't the end of the world, and i appreciated them squeezing me in.  They ripped up the old driveway and started to put a new one down, but their paver broke.  These things happen, and i was left with a functional dirt driveway while they repaired their equipment.  They came back a week later and finished within a few hours of the paver getting there.  HOWEVER a few weeks after they left i was hit with a $550 fine from the city.  Apparently they had not procured a permit.  After repeated calls to them to see if there was some kind of mistake i have not received a call back.  Not a very professional end to what could have been a perfectly well done job.

Did exactly what was promised, on time, and for the contracted price.  I had 5 quotes - this was not the lowest, but it was very much in the ballpark and I got my money's worth.
It looks great - better than other jobs done by other contractors in the area.  I would definitely hire this company again.

WE got bids from 5 companies back in March.  Fahey was not the cheapest bid, but the owner had come out and personally bid on the job and called us later to followup.  After considering all the bids, we contacted him again explaining the pricing we had received.  He came down in price; not matching the lowest but giving us a fair and competitive revision.  They called to set up the tearout and arrived as expected.  The owner came first to talk with us about what we expected.  There had been a problem on the driveway with a seal that was not discussed in the original visit and they wanted to cover our wishes.  The work was done quickly and cleanly.  They came back 3 days later to pour the new driveway.  I had expected it would be done the next day, but they had a job that was lasting longer.  They did call to advise me and I was fine based on the phone call to alert us.  The work was all done in a very professional manner and I have no doubt that if we had any problems, they would come and fix them.  I plan to use them next year to sealcoat the work.  It looks beautiful and you couldn't ask for a more personable, hardworking bunch who truly know the meaning of a good job for the money!!!

Michael Fahey followed up, followed up, followed up while we were deciding between bids.  My husband liked this; I felt like it was pesty.  We had a lesser expensive bid from an Angie's List well-rated provider that I wanted to use; Fahey had been used by a friend and that's who my husband chose.  Fahey lowered their price to just below  the other provider's bid (husband did not tell them about the A/L coupon the other provider offered so the A/L provider still would have been the cheapest), but then Fahey would not allow use of a newspaper coupon since he had already lowered his price once.  (You can decide for yourself if this was something you would be happy with.  I wasn't thrilled with that part of the transaction.)  But overall they did a fine job on the driveway.  We might use them again in the distant future...hopefully we won't have to do this again for a very long time.

LISTENED TO NEIGHBORS ABOUT PROBLEM WITH WATER DRAINING TOWARDS BASEMENT. ENSURED DRIVE DID NOT SLOPE TOWARDS HOUSE. REDUCED PRICE FOR NEIGHBOR TO COMPARE TO ANOTHER QUOTE. GREAT JOB AND EVERYTHING CLEANED AND HAULED AWAY. LISTENED AND ADDRESSED ALL OF OUR CONCERNS.
