Jack is great to work with, trustworthy, and offered an Angie's list discount. Workers showed up on time and got to work, finishing the entire job in one day. I couldn't be at the house while the work was being performed, but Jack kept me up to date, texting me updates and sent me a picture of my rotted A/C line which had to be replaced. They left the place cleaner than it was when they showed up. I plan on using Jack for my future electrical work.

We returned Sunday evening after a day out to find that our garage door wouldn't open, and only about 25% of the lights in the house worked. After checking the circuit breaker panel in the basement (none were tripped), I actually called the power company first. The power company determined that the power source was good to the meter, but below the meter, 1 of 2 lines into the house was dead (aka, "my problem"). After a night of little light, no heat (thank goodness for El Nino, 60 degree February days), and moving the fridge so that we could run an extension cord to an outlet that WAS working, Monday morning, I started calling a mix of google results for "same day electrician" as well as some Angie's List vendors. The results from google all started with me speaking to an answering service or a scheduler, who would then have to contact a dispatcher, who in turn would have to find a team who could come out - the earliest offer on a call back through that process was 2pm. These services all discussed their hourly rates first, and noted that it cost a certain amount to show up on site, another fee for "troubleshooting" (no joke), and beyond that, a quote would be given based on the assessment of the job. I was so relieved that when I called the Angie's List number for Blazer Electric, Jack picked up the phone. I described what happened, and he said that he could be by in about an hour (9:30am) to check it out. After he had been on the road for a while, traffic was going to cause him to be only 10-15 minutes late from the time that he gave me, but he sent me text to let me know that. Upon arrival, Jack quickly figured out the problem and then started calling around to suppliers to find the part he needed. There were only two suppliers who (supposedly) had the part in stock - the first one, in the city, turned out to have an an error in their inventory (so they didn't have the part when Jack showed up). Jack texted me again to give me the update, but he had confirmation that the second supplier had the part - even though it would require an additional hour drive to an out-of-the-way suburb. Long story short - the second place did have the part in stock, and after 2+ hours of driving, Jack returned and made the relatively quick repair at that point. Jack's fee for the service was more than reasonable (the full price for the service call was less than 2-hours of some of the initial quotes I got - and that's before the AL discount), and even though the job was about 4-hours (including more than 2 hours of unexpected driving), he didn't change his rate for the service. In the above approximate cost, at least 2/3 if not more is the cost of the part. Of course, before leaving, Jack thought to make sure that we check that the outlet behind the fridge was in fact working after everything came back up (it was), and he even helped me roll the fridge back into place. For my next routine electrical maintenance or emergency service call, Blazer Electric will certainly be the first call that I make.

Breakers powering kitchen appliances began tripping randomly a few weeks ago. I called a few places but Jack was the first to get back to me (within 30 min.) and I had an appt. scheduled before others even responded. Jack tested the lines and because they seemed to be working properly he (correctly) suspected that an intermittent issue might be an indication of a bigger problem and may necessitate rewiring the kitchen circuits. We first tried a couple simpler less expensive fixes - changing the breakers, outlets and a bit of simple rewiring but the problem persisted. We eventually did rewire all the circuits and in doing so discovered that a small amount of condensation built up within the conduit had exposed a break in the old wire and caused circuits to trip. Jack had to make a couple trips as trouble shooting the problem required some trial and error but he was thorough in explaining everything every step of the way and was happy to take time to answer our questions throughout the process. Things are back in order now and working well. We are very happy with the work and would definitely call Jack again for electrical needs in the future.

Overall, went pretty well. Jack and his team work hard and deliver a good product. For the amount of time and effort involved in the project, the price was very reasonable and in combination with the responsiveness that the team exhibits, I'd recommend them. Things took a bit longer than anticipated and there were a few items that came up that weren't expected or weren't dealt with in the perfect manner, so during the project it was a bit stressful. Rectifying those items, and lack of attention to detail in a few areas kept them away from the "A" rating. But in the end, the team finished the work they set out to do at a reasonable cost, worked hard, and seemed to know what they doing.

The provider came out promptly to our same-day emergency service call, was very knowledgable, friendly and professional. We will definitely use him again and recommend him. Also the price included a discount for us as Angie's List users and was very reasonable compared to other electricians we used in the past.

I called Jack on a Saturday morning to ask if he could come out to investigate why my refrigerator and intercom system were not working. He said he could come later in the afternoon, and explained to me what his charge would be, given that it was an emergency call on a weekend. He told me he would call me an hour before he got to my house, and he did. He even let me know that he was running late and would be later than expected. Jack got right to work and solved my problem completely and very professionally. It turns out that other handymen had taken short cuts in doing some electrical work, and Jack diagnosed and fixed them the correct way. He gave me a nice discount because of Angie's List, and I'm very satisfied. I highly recommend Blazer!

The job couldn't have been done better. Jack provided an estimate of cost and time needed to complete the job. On the day of the work he arrived on time and completed the work in the timeframe provided. He left the work areas immaculate and was very concerned that he didn't disturb anything in the work areas. He was easy to work with and I had a nice time talking to him as he worked. I would highly recommend him for any electrical work.

Jack Blazejewski of Blazer Electric was really good. He responded to the request for an estimate within days. His estimate beat out 2 of the other estimates by over $ 1,000.00. (Also Angie's list electricians.) He was slightly higher than the third estimate, but the way Jack explained what needed to be done and how he would do it when we walked through the house for the estimate sold me on his knowledge and expertise. Jack and his crew arrived on time on the date set up, even tho we were in the middle of a winter storm !!! He had informed us during the estimate where holes for fishing the wire might have to be, but said he would keep that to a minimum, and he did. I have to give special thanks to Adam of his crew, who crawled into the attack to install the kitchen can lights - he did a fantastic job, there isn't one patch area needed in the kitchen at all! The whole crew worked very efficiently and cleaned up after themselves each day. The work was finished within 2 days, half the time we had expected, since they came at 7 AM and left at 5 PM. I would hire Jack for any further electric work, and even asked him for cards to give to my friends. He was honest and very easy to deal with. I don't think you can go wrong hiring Jack and Blazer Electric.
