T&D Electrical LLC

My experience was poor with them. They were unable to get the electric latch to work correctly and I had to call a different electrician to finish that job. Then on the lighting install, they did finish however the craftsmanship was not done professionally. They left a mess behind and things were incomplete. They were not prompt at all and showed up late on a couple occasions.

T&D came out the very next day to troubleshoot the circuit. They knew pretty quickly that they were looking for a loose neutral wire which eventually turned out to be related to a sconce on the stairway. But in the process of searching for this loose neutral wire, we also found that some sconces on either side of the fireplace had been wire improperly so they fixed those too. The three way switch turned out to be much more complicated than anticipated since they had to remove a fixture which had been previously buried in the ceiling in order to run wire from the top of the stairs to the bottom. But T&D got right to it even though they knew the job was now taking much longer than expected. The upgrade of the breaker from a 15 amp to a 20 amp was easy for them. Glad I didn't do it myself since I didn't know you also had to upgrade the wiring from 14 gauge to 12 gauge. While they were working on these various projects, the owner gave me an outlet tester so I went around and tested all of the outlets in the house. And I found that all of the outlets in the basement weren't grounded. Upon inspection, we determined that each outlet box had to be redone. It was near the end of the day so we agreed they would come out the following Saturday. The next Saturday they showed up on time and spent 3/4 of the day redoing each outlet in the basement. I also had them install a light fixture on the garage, replace a couple of switches in the house and ground an outlet outside. All in all, T&D was incredibly responsive to my projects. Every time we came across a new problem in the house, they were more than willing to fix it even though time was getting away from us both days. The crew was polite and cleaned up after themselves. I feel much better knowing that the electrical wiring in the house is back to code. I'll definitely hire them again and recommend them to friends.

T&D was the one sub that held up my project the most. They almost never showed up when promised, and caused my inspections to fall behind. We moved into the house a couple of months ago, and are still waiting for them to finish the low voltage wiring. I had to replace every Cat5 outlet in the building, because the electrician put phone jacks instead of CAT5 jacks. I explained that he was putting the wrong outlets, and he told me I was incorrect, that he WAS installing Cat5 jacks. I even produced a Cat5 cable to show him that it didn't fit, and he shrugged. At this point I told him to stop wasting time installing them, as they would all have to be replaced. We have called them dozens of times since December to get them to drop off the cover to the low voltage box, to no avail. They have acted in a most unprofessional manner, I could not recommend them. 4-10-14- Upon posting this review, Marcus contacted me about my concerns, and dropped off the cover to the low voltage box the next day. We had a nice conversation, and Marcus was understanding of my frustration. Unfortunately, it took a negative review to get a response, but I have to give credit to Marcus for calling and delivering the cover. I am upgrading them to a C grade, with possibility for more upgrades if other outstanding items are fixed.

Great experience working with Marcus and team, from initial communication with the office through installation and follow-up. The guys helped me run extension cords to power the refrigerator and a few electronics for the time the power was off and the who process was minimally disruptive. They were very thorough in the installation and didn't take any shortcuts. Hopefully they can manage demand somehow, because I don't expect to use anyone else in the future for my electrical needs.

We were extremely pleased with the service provided by T & D Electrical. I called on 3/27. I received a call back from Marcus that same day and we set up a time for the next morning! How often does that happen?! Marcus was on time and very thorough in reviewing the work required. The work required was both indoors and outdoors. Each and every time they entered the house, they removed their shoes even though it was not necessary. Fergus (I believe that was his name) followed Marcus's directions as to the work needed. Fergus did run into some unexpected issues when he was working on the installation of the GFCI outlets in the kitchen and outdoors. He promptly communicated what the issues were and what it would take to resolve the problem. He was very thorough in his explanation of what he found and what work needed to be completed. The work was completed that AM and we were very satisfied. Both Marcus and Fergus were very professional, polite and courteous. Marcus followed up with a phone call on Saturday to ensure that we were satisfied with the services that were provided We would highly recommend T & D Electrical.

My husband attempted to rewire some lighting in one of our bedrooms and switch the light to a dimmer switch. Without success, we called upon T&D Electrical and they came to our home the very next morning. Luckily we did, since we were not only doing the job incorrectly ourselves, but risking burning out our fan's motor, which had to be rewired to achieve the outcome we were looking for. The job was done quickly, professionally, and within an hour we had everything working properly and as we had hoped. Definitely would hire these guys again for any electrical work in the future!

I really enjoyed working with T&D Electrical. They were excellent to communicate and schedule appointments with. I just had ComEd finish up the process this week by putting the 3rd meter in today. I would definitely use them again with future projects!

I called the company and they called me right back leaving a message. I talked with the secretary telling her I need urgently their service and they scheduled an appoinfment for the next day on Saturday. It was great. Marcus is very nice as his assistant. The job was completed in 7 hours. We will call them again for sure. Very nice, professional and very fast responders!! Thank you!!!

We were thrilled with T&D. They were responsive when making the appointment for an estimate, thorough when providing the estimate and conducting the work. Everyone was friendly and knowledgeable. They showed up on time and explained the work that was being conducted and gave us a recap once work was finished. We are so pleased with T&D and highly recommend them.

The work was wonderful and so was the electrician. He came on time and was very neat. He knew what he was doing. He came right away and began work right away. The whole process went well.

A+++++++ Marcus and his entire crew were amazing. I honestly never dealt with any company so great such as this. I needed a new service installed because a flooding company messed up my electrical system in my home. On top of that i needed an entire rewiring of my bathroom for remodeling. I called a few companies and had different prices of course. I then called Marcus, he came and looked at everything and told me what can be done and what he is going to do to fix it. With all honesty, out of all those companies, I used Marcus because his prices was reasonable and his service was outstanding. I need a few permits in order to do that work and the city wasn't to happy that the electrical was touched without a permit prior to calling TD electrical. Marcus was extremely friendly, not like the other companies that I called. Most of these companies, I felt like they were doing me a favor and were so unprofessional. Marcus explained all he is doing and how he going to get the permits and work with the city so that i wont get fines and/or any other issues the city wanted to put on me. Marcus/ TD Electrical wanted my business. He did my electrical service in one day, and completed my entire bathroom as well. We got inspected and passed. As in regards to the bathroom, it needed a switched changed according to the inspector, with a few other things. he wanted TD electrical to install a different switch, when the existing switch was more the 100% capable of doing the job and was per code. But the inspector was just picking on the smallest thing just to annoy me. So the inspector said he would come back and do a final inspection. Marcus quickly called one of this employees and within a few hours on the same day! he was there working on it for a few hours. Long story short we passed after changing the switch. Marcus did not charge me for any of this extra work, which I was amazed. This is how a business should be ran. He is providing a service for his customers and i don't have to call and beg to have him come and do something. TD Electrical did everything sooo Professional and outstanding. Honestly they should receive Business of the Year award. I work with alot of companies, and honestly by far this is the best I have ever dealt with. If you need electrical service, this company is the one to call, just call and experience it for yourself, I would bet money that you too will be as satisfied as I am today!! It went very well. I liked the work they did previously and continue to like their work after this job. They were punctual, professional and clean in the work they did. I would recommend their services.

I initially called T&D because they had an Angie's list special for panel upgrade. After inpecting my current situation, Marcus pointed out the special work that needed to be done because my old bungalow was so out-of-date. He gave me a new price for the extra work which was more than reasonable. Marcus was extremely responsive, helpful and knowledgable. His install team were prompt, hard working and had great attention to detail. When installing the outdoor electric meter, they were extremely creative in getting the meter installed without having to cut into our roof or deck. They even painted the wood backing that had to be attached to my deck wall! When Com Ed mistakenly refused to tie in the new wire, Marcus came to the next installation appointment and walked ComEd through their work and showed that it was indeed to code. T & D is very responsible and clearly take pride in their work. I wholeheartedly recommend them.

Marcus was great from start to end. He was prompt when he came for the quote, took very good notes and provided an estimate with fair prices. He and his team were on time every day they worked at my house - almost 2 weeks. They were also very courteous and respectful of my house and time. Marcus is very knowledgeable about the local codes and ordinances which helped in the inspecion process. There were numerous times when I wanted to add some work, and they accomdated my requests the same day. A great feature of T&D is that they have an office manager who coordinates works and keeps in communication. I have some more work to do, and I will not hesitate to call T&D again. I am confident in their work.

Although one of the employees failed to fix the problem after several visits, the owner came himself and fixed the problem. He was professional and punctual and was apologetic for the problem.

It was very challenging to find a good electrician. I am very glad I finally found Marcus. He is extremely easy to work with. Communication is key. He is great at communicating/listening. And he was the only electrician I interviewed who bothered to provide me with a written estimate. Even though the scope of work changed, I just wanted to have some ballpark idea as to how much the work would cost. Plus, T&D has excellent office support, Hayley and Siobahn for follow up email communication. When I emailed with questions, I got prompt, responsive answers. The office made scheduling a breeze. Marcus and his crew (Edwardo) were always on time, if not early. I appreciated how prompt and reliable they were. Marcus came back several times to rectify all remaining items on my list. There were additional charges on my bill but all reasonable, I thought, in light of the extra work involved. I was delighted that Marcus went the extra mile and got a triple switch for me so that I could utilize all of the functions on my new bath fan/heater/light fixture. He was also very patient and persistent about fixing our building intercom system, something which had stumped us in the past. Hopefully, everything will be working properly now. He and Edwardo were careful to use tarps and clean up when done. I really appreciate this kind of care around my property. My only suggestion is to make sure to tell them where to leave any packaging for any equipment that you purchase and have them install, so that you have any warranty information or operating manuals you might need in the future. I would not hesitate to call upon T&D again or to recommend them to others looking for high quality, reliable electrical service.

Marcus is extremely responsive to any phone call or email that I sent all throughout the process. When I had questions about the work that was being done or recommended he answered them all thoroughly. The electricians that did the work on our place were very skilled and very good at troubleshooting, which is exactly what I was looking for due to the age of our building and years of hack electrical work. This business seems to be based on integrity, honesty and quality. Marcus gets an A+++ in communication and responsiveness which I have found, when hiring contractors, is one of the most important qualities. One example is that I had asked for a couple of the moved circuits to be labeled on the panels. There had been a miscommunication at some point and this was not done. I emailed him and asked if he could give me a general idea of where they were on the panel so it would be narrowed down for me to figure it out (I didn't think it was worth another trip out for him to label two circuits). He called me and came out the next day to complete this task. I had even already paid. He is serious about wanting to do a complete job and that his customers are satisfied.

Marcus was great and walked us through everything we would need done.

I made inquires on Monday night and Marcus responded right away and came out the next day. He quickly assessed the situation and repaired the issue. Couldn't have asked for more!

Marcus and his team were great, everyone from the office staff to the electrical crew. They communicated in a timely and professional manner at all times. When they had an unexpected delay on the Friday they were to start the job they let us know right away, and kept us up to date on the delay. They were still able to come that day and returned the following day, working several hours to finish the job. With the Angie's list discount, the entire job also cost much less than competitors. We thoroughly enjoyed working with them and would work with them again in a heartbeat. They did a quality job for a discounted price and we are very pleased with the end result.

Two of the units in our building had no power. T & D Electrical was the only company who even answered the phone that morning. They came out within two hours and figured out the electric company was the problem. I really appreciated that they did an emergency call. The other companies I left messages with never even called back.

T&D upgraded my circuit breaker panel. The inspector gave it a pass. No problems at all after the work was done. Marcus and his crew were polite and professional. The job went a few hours longer than estimated. A follow-up visit was a bit rough to schedule (I have a day job, too), but no harm, no foul. Marcus stayed in constant contact so there were no surprises. They made sure the refrigerator and other essential power remained on while they worked. Very important.

orking with Marcus, his office staff, and crew was nothing short of a delight. We're actually looking forward to our next electrical project. He returned every call promptly, and was almost always reasonably on time. The one time he was late, he called in advance to tell us so, and then kept us up to speed on his whereabouts until he was able to come. The quote compared to other companies was mid range, so it was fair to both parties. Marcus listened to all of our concerns, and addressed everything and always had a solution at hand. He walked us through everything, and was so patient with us and all of our crazy ideas and plans. He seemed to know code inside and out. If we said we wanted something that wasn't to code, he told us how to meet code but still give us the desired end result. It's never comfortable to have strangers in your home, and we are very protective as we have had a lot of problems with theft in the past. Marcus and his crew were so respectful and down right cool, we actually enjoyed having them in our home. Often the owner or company contact is okay, but the workers are kind of sketchy. This wasn't the case with T&D, everyone in the company was a joy to work with. In fact, this was the only company we've ever allowed to do work in our home with out us there. We rarely ever recommenced contractors to anyone. If there is ever a problem, we'd feel somewhat responsible. Marcus and his crew are the exception. We've recommended them to everyone we know. We even recommended T&D to our bosses, one of which actually hired T&D. That boss was so impressed by Marcus and his crew that he took us out to lunch to thank us for the recommendation. The work was done sooner than expected. They even did extra work that wasn't in the contract. When they were done, Marcus walked us through everything to make sure we were happy with every detail of the work. We've never been more impressed. The work they did, how they bent the conduit, and installed the new meter and electrical panel, it's a work of art. Surely this sounds corny to some, but in all honestly, two months have passed and we still just go and stare in awe at their work. Craftsmanship, artistry, professionalism, fair price, great communication, honesty, positive attitude, it doesn't get any better than that.
