Lowes

Placed an order for a toilet and shower door and had it truck delivered by Lowe's. Toilet arrived cracked off at the tank and the shower door package was torn open in three spots and had a footprint on the glass side of the box. Called Lowe's and they were unapologetic. Fortunately, the door looks to be OK and doesn't look to be missing any parts, but Lowe's wants me to reorder a new toilet and have it redelivered. Now the toilet is on a three-week backorder and I am in the middle of a major bathroom renovation. Why can't they just reorder and expedite a new toilet? Doesn't matter now since I can't wait three weeks and just bought it somewhere else for a better price! Local Bolingbrook store had me on hold for 10 minutes until delivery picked up then had difficulty determining what to do next. Total waste of my time and the last time I buy something from this lousy store. Really lacking the premier customer experience.

Our experience with the installation department at Lowes was horrendous. They screwed up our order several times, delivered wrong products and inaccurate amounts of product, were rude and extremely unprofessional and not only offered no resolutions to mistake after mistake, but would not return phone calls for days.

The only good thing about this whole process was the installer, an outside contractor, who was extremely professional, helpful and did an amazing job.

Will never use Lowes for any kind of service again and will never enter another Lowes location period.

This was a very smooth and quick replacement. The installer who came to my house went above and beyond to make sure the plumbing was secure and returned the parts to the store that we didn't need/couldn't use. I love the new water heater, and I would definitely choose Lowe's again if the price is right.

You go through them and they contract out the work to somebody else. At first, they put in some doors and windows. I thought they were fine. But a bathroom project was going on and the guy in there looked at the windows and said that it was crooked, but it was not so bad. So, they did not do anything about it. I could not even see that it was crooked. The door had a screen door on it and they did not put a spline in on the top and bottom of the screen so wild animals could come through the screen. So I am not too happy about that. In fact, a chipmunk has already come in. They are going to come out here next week and put some more windows in, and I am going to have them fix that. But with the first crew, I was not happy at all because of a number of things: like after doing the project, the sub-contractor put down an evaluation form on the table and said that I needed to fill it out right in front of them. The work had some issues and I did not like that. So, the second time around, we asked Lowes to bring us a different crew. I went back to Lowes because the pricing is good and if I needed a different crew out here, I am hoping to be happier.

Their kitchen planner Mark, is outstanding. He made sure we got the best contractors and products. We could not have been happier with their service. They drew up the plans and helped us pick the best set up possible.

I decided to go with Lowes because they had the best price on the windows that I wanted. I like that they offered a name brand window without a name brand price. The workers who came out to do the installation were very punctual and tidy. They seemed to be very knowledgeable as well as caring.
