The costs range from $5 to $15 per square foot, depending on the film type, UV protection level, and labor.

A lace curtain may block some of the biggest insects from entering while still allowing a breeze to get through. Use a combination of blackout methods to truly black out your windows. If you want to eliminate all light from your room, try installing a very dark tinted film and then putting up blackout shades over the entire window. You can easily and cheaply use tin foil or cardboard to black out your windows. Save a pretty penny by cutting either material to the size of your windows and taping it to the window.
