Aloha! We recently started Steam Weeding Services. We use Saturated hot water to kill weeds and to remove moss from driveways and roofs. The steam bursts the cells in the plants leaves killing the plant. The treated areas can be used immediately by pets and children since zero chemicals are used. Contacts us for more information. I do small/large interior and exterior repaints, pressure washing, meldew removal, oil painting and staining and custom painting. JPS is a well reccomended by previous homeowners. I get in do the job quickly and efficantly. Perfection is good enough for me. Payments are taken with personal check or cash. No job is too small to take on.

You should clean your panels at least twice a year. It depends on your location. In dusty climates (think the Arizona desert), you may need to clean your panels more frequently. Dust can dramatically impact the electrical output. If you live in a climate with extreme weather, you may want to check your panels seasonally.

The best way to clean a roof without damaging it is to opt for soft washing, or better yet, leave it to a professional roof cleaner. Soft washing involves a biodegradable cleaning solution being sprayed on the roof and gently rinsed away after it dissolves built-up residue on your shingles. 

It may require stronger cleansers or chemicals, higher-pressure spray, or scrubbing to completely remove algae from a metal roof. Start with a mild cleanser; if that doesn’t work and you're comfortable doing so, use a stronger mix of ⅓ cup of laundry detergent, 1 quart of bleach, and 3 quarts of water to gently scrub the algae with a soft-bristled brush. If algae is present across large portions of your roof, doesn’t come off with gentle scrubbing and cleansers, or is in hard-to-reach areas, this may be a job better left to a pro.

While it is possible to remove snow from your roof without a professional, we don’t recommend it. Accessing your roof can be a dangerous task; pair that with slippery ice and snow that can be heavy to move, and you have a very risky problem on your hands. This dangerous situation becomes more high-risk when there’s a snowstorm or your roof has a steep pitch. To ensure that everyone stays safe, be sure to call a roof snow removal specialist to complete this job with the proper tools and equipment.

Long-handled telescopic brushes are the best way to clean the outside of a house without a pressure washer. There are even special attachments for cleaning the outside of windows. Use a gentle cleaning solution for both the roof and siding to avoid harming the finishes. Be sure to rinse the area thoroughly with a garden hose after scrubbing.
