Don was on time, worked quickly and quietly, pleasant and cleaned up all of the mess! I will definitely use him again any time that I need wallpaper installed, repaired or removed. He has many years of experience and is meticulous.

Don was great. Reasonable price, great job. A novice do It yourself paper hanger myself, I was scared to tackle this grass cloth as it was pricey paper and I didn’t want to mess it up. Don’s work is amazing. Looks fantastic. Very professional, would recommend to anyone !

Always neat and clean excellent workmanship

The wallpaper in our dining room is nearly 40 years old. It is still in very good shape overall, but there were problems -- separated seams, bubbles in the corners, etc. -- which we did not want to tackle ourselves. So we called an expert, Don Moncrief. He does excellent work. Now our old wallpaper looks new again! We highly recommend Up Against the Wall LLC.

I highly recommend Up Against The Wall. Don does amazing work! I would never use anyone else again. No gaps, no cracks, no uneven strips... just perfectly immaculate! Before finding Don, I had two separate “experts” do wallpaper for me, and both jobs ended up having to be completely taken down, as the wallpaper shrunk afterwards and left gaps between each strip. I was able to get some of my money back from the jobs, but the wallpaper they used was ruined and I had to buy all new paper. This was a big expense. Never hire a general contractor or painter to do wallpaper— it takes a specialist. And even a specialist is often not that. Go with Don and only with Don! Don even did a perfect job on our ceiling, a seemingly impossible task he made look easy. He also did a perfect job on our walls, which included going around doorways, and around odd corners and within tight spaces. It’s been six months and there are no gaps whatsoever. Don is not only very detail-oriented, but he’s also very neat. You won’t be left with any mess at all— no wallpaper goop laying around or anything like that. He has all his own tools and is an expert in all types of wallpaper. He came out, measured, and told me exactly how much wallpaper I needed (my previous hires were both wrong), and he was spot on. He also places the wallpaper perfectly, knowing exactly how and where to center the best areas of your specific wallpaper to make it look its best (he will discuss this with you beforehand). He’s a pro in every area, including rounding corners, to make sure your wallpaper won’t eventually come apart at the corners. You won’t regret using Up Against The Wall. It’s how wallpaper is meant to be, and your home will look like a page from an elegant magazine. Every time someone new comes to our home, the first thing they notice is the wallpaper, and everyone gasps over how beautiful it looks! *He also removed previous wallpaper and sanded and prepped our walls. Great work!

Don is CLASS A have been doing business with him for appx. 3 years. I give him an A++++++++! Superior service and dependable. The pics I have posted is only the loft area. He has done all three of my bathrooms also.

This was the 2nd time we have used Don for work on our home. The first time he removed and replaced wallpaper from our up and down stairs halls as well as a difficult staircase. We were so pleased with the results that he was the only one we called when we needed more work done. Don removed the wallpaper in our master bathroom, made repairs to the walls and installed new wallpaper. In our bedroom he removed border from the high parts of the room, patched drywall and painted. (we had already done the parts we could reach). The work was done to our satisfaction as expected. Don takes his time and makes sure everything looks the way it should. If his last job takes a little longer than expected and he reschedules you, remember he will work on your job as long as necessary as well. We barely knew he was in the house.

Not sure what happened to my first review of this company, so I'll include that project here as well as the recent one. Don covered some very "bubbly" walls we discovered after buying a home - even the inspector missed this issue water damage issue Once the paper was installed and everything cured, no more "bubble walls! You can't find a seam as the paper was installed flawlessly! After finding leftover Anaglypta paper in my attic storage room, I decided to have it installed in the foyer, on the ceiling, to dress the space up a bit. Don again installed the patterned paper perfectly and I am now in the process of painting/glazing it. Don is absolutely in a league of his own in terms of home improvement experts. No one compares to his level of skill in my opinion ;)

Service was excellent. The owner/wallpaper installer brought his own drop cloths and made no messes. The wallpaper was installed very well.

We bought a home that had previous water damage (burst pipes). Everything appeared to have been repaired - except for the walls in the small downstairs half bath. Once we replaced the low wattage bulbs in the light fixture in the room, the "bubble" walls were revealed. After having various handymen explain we needed to re-mud the walls, I decided to go another route. I hired Don to install a slightly textured wallpaper in the room, hoping the paper would disguise the damaged walls and thanks to the precise installation performed - the walls look flawless now! Looking to schedule a paper installation for foyer ceiling soon - would not dream of using any company besides Up Against the Wall!!!

It was perfect! The price was lowest than other estimates, the job was completed in one day and the result is great!

Wow, what a great experience it was working with Don. He promptly returned my phone calls and was incredibly friendly. Once we decided a date Don was on time and eager to get started. I had chosen a wallpaper with a intricate pattern and Don did a PERFECT job. I could not have asked for a better job. It is not easy to find a quality wallpaper hanger in Atlanta but let me tell you, Up Against the Wall (Don) is the way to go.

Don is an excellent interior decorator. I had to wait a few weeks for him to be available and I took that as a good sign - busy and in-demand. He is pleasant, reliable, punctual and excellent at his job! He made 2 trips to my house - the second time I wasn't able to be at home but he was easy to communicate with and was nice to my animals - an essential skill!! Highly recommended!!!

Don does fantastic work, I can't say enough about the quality of his work! We had an issue with miscut paper rolls, and instead of making us mail it back and have him come back to install, he spent the extra time and labor to double cut the paper so the design matched up! He stayed way later than a normal business day to finish up in one day and the paper looks great! He patched the holes (some big, some small), and prepped the walls for the paper. He returns calls and texts very promptly and his top priority is the customers happiness. I highly recommend him!

Amazing! I was so impressed with the finished product. Don's attention to detail was fantastic. We used a large print wall paper and our laundry room had lots of shelves, outlets, corners, small areas, etc. The matching he did below and above shelves, the detail work, it was all top notch. Would absolutely recommend to others. Price was very fair.

excellent work. Although I was able to provide a matching roll of wallpaper, it was new and the paper had been on the wall for a number of years. The repair is so perfect I cannot tell where it is. Excellent and professional.
