Townsend Construction & Carpentry

Project completed in November 2023 (shower renovation) I hired the project manager to oversee the work, but I observed him more on his iPad at my kitchen counter than actively overseeing or troubleshooting. I paid a significant amount for his expertise, yet he did not fulfill his responsibilities. I believe I overpaid for his services. When I requested a breakdown of his expenses, I only received a single line item: ?General Administration and Subcontractor Subdivision,? without any details about time or wage. Disappointingly, after making the final payment, I never heard from the project manager for any follow-up. He did inform me that I had a one-year warranty on the services. However, he never checked in to address any ?fixes,? ?gaps,? or ?updates? (as the area settled). I felt uncomfortable reaching out to him for minor settling issues. I have noticed grout cracks in the tile, but there is no way to cover them. Overall, I strongly advise against hiring DR Townsend Construction.

So it began as a referral so I didn't get any other estimates until it was to late. I am 81 years old and Mr Townsend had me sign a contract saying he would be done by the end of last year but that if he wasn't he would take off 30% so I felt confident he would follow through. Well he didn't follow through and only recently got started but during the time I was waiting and he wasn't showing up My daughter called 2 other contractors because the 54,000 price tag seemed high. The other 2 bids were just under 30,000 Townsend was double no wonder he said he could take off 30% but he's not honoring our agreement. Thats not even the worst part his personal life should be no business of mine but he got caught cheating on his wife who showed up causing a huge scene where I was going to have to call the police. He also left her cans all over the job site. Very unprofessional and I regret ever meeting this man

Dennis also kept me informed of progress daily and would discuss any unforeseen and or necessary repairs before implementation . The craftsmanship on the entire project exceeded my expectations. Therefore I highly recommend DR Towsend construction LLC for any home improvemenproject.

Dennis is super professional and dedicated. Worked with us to make sure we had the same vision for our staircase renovation. And was super responsive to our feedback, despite us moving the goalpost on him multiple times. We couldnâ t be happier with the stairs. If I had to choose three words to describe this business they would be: quality, value, and transparency.

Dennis is very professional and courteous. He is on time on the scheduled appointment, pretty quick on addressing the repair. Good job done on time.

Dennis was fantastic. He did more than he said he would do with excellent quality and superb attention to detail. He took initiative, made great suggestions, and truly helped me evaluate the best course of action for our Siding repair and handrail installation. He was punctual and required no supervision. He knew what was needed and how to get the job done. He is a consummate professional with a wide range of construction and handyman skills and knowledge. I was extremely happy with Dennis's service and am already planning to use him again!
