"Tile Creations strives to satisfy the needs of its customers, and we tried very hard to make it clear that the needs of the homeowner did not and could not fit the criteria of the deal mentioned. Angie's list had mistakenly run a photograph of a different type of tile job, which confused the customer. When we explained that the deal covered the walls of a bathtub-shower combination rather than a walk-in shower, he continued to try to get us to make the deal fit. Shower remodeling calls for different materials, such as shower pans, and the square footage is significantly different. Thus, the project he wished to do could not be fit within the parameters of the deal. We were happy to try to give him a fair price on the project he wished to have done, but there was not the kind of discount, we believe, that he was hoping for. It is always a good idea to call a company and make sure you are purchasing the product you seek. We regret that there has been any misunderstanding and hope that the customer will reconsider our services."

"This review is particularly distressing, as we have no record of these calls. Are you certain that Tile Creations is the company you called? Forgive me for sounding incredulous, but no business in their right mind calls a customer back and speaks rudely, or hangs up. At least, not without tremendous provocation! We have spoken with everyone in the office and no one has come across your name. Frankly, we are mystified. In the interest of keeping goodwill of some sort, we apologize for anything you perceive our company has done. We make every effort to return calls in a timely fashion, use the utmost grace in our dealings, and to satisfy the requests of potential customers any way that we can. We would certainly wish to make good on any requests you might have of our company and sincerely hope that you will call us. "We were really pleased to work with this homeowner; she and her husband were very pleasant. It appears that, perhaps, the homeowner did not fully read/understand the advertised deal and the ensuing conversations that explained it. There were actually very clear parameters stated in the deal; adding tile that required different materials would be more expensive both in the tile itself and setting material, as well as the labor to install. We were supposed to paint, and had agreed to do so, but the homeowner's effort to coordinate with another construction job ran far beyond time we could allot, so we refunded some of her payment so that the other company might coordinate. This was a difficult choice on our part; we simply were running too thin with the huge response to the deal. We hired extra crews to handle the excessive demand but it was rather unfortunate that the tight scheduling kept us from being able to return in a prudent time. Thus, the decision to refund some of her money seemed the only fair thing to do. In hindsight, we would probably hire even more people, or limit the number of deals available. We apologize for the inconvenience and hope that our customers will consider using us again."
