The Grout Doctor

Updated: My original review was not good but Jeff from The Grout Doctor finally got back to me. They sent the tech back out and if definitely looks better. Not perfect but a lot better. They went from a 1 star to a 4 star!

Arrived on time, provided excellent service, finished on time ... a real pro.

Happy did an excellent job and made our shower look like a brand new one. He not only took care of the perimeter of shower floor, he cleaned and touched up all other area of the whole shower. He was very pleasant and kept us informed of each work he was doing. He worked very hard all day except taking a short lunch break and we were extremely happy with the great result he provided for us. If you are going to hire The Grout Doctor for the service, ask for Happy !

Did an excellent job and so nice to work with!

I was so impressed with the quality of their work and their professionalism. Very prompt and I was able to go onto work and he stayed all day. Took longer than I thought but what a fantastic job he did. Cleaned up everything and all I had was a little dust. They had done a friend's shower and she was also very impressed. I would recommend them to anyone who needs this type of work done and I am very picky!!

The gentleman from the Grout Doctor came to give a quote to my wife, and was very friendly and knowledgeable in doing so. Once we called back to schedule, he came out a week later, performed the grout repair in a couple hours, and was out of there. Really transformed our bathroom. Excellent work.

The technician arrived on time and saved me money by not replacing the grout, he just cleaned it and made it look like brand new. I definitely recommend these guys, they are pretty solid!

This was a great home repair experience from the estimate preparation to completion of the work. I could not have been happier with the excellent craftsmanship performed. The cost was very fair and I would not hesitate to hire this company again.

Very well.  This is the second time we have used them.

I got two quotes from folks on Angie's List. One was the Grout Doctor. The Grout Doctor's price was almost 2.5 times less than the other quote. Before using the Grout Doctor I inquired about their materials. They gave me the name of their material supplier and I did some searches online. Their material supplier (NOT GROUT DOCTOR) had mixed reviews about the quality of their product. The other tile cleaner company had a different material supplier (which had better reviews online). When I mentioned this to JC from the Grout Doctor he volunteered to send his guys to do a sample for me to inspect and approve. Because his price was so much lower I agreed to give it a try despite the mixed reviews about the product he was using. The workers (two gentlemen) came and did a sample of two colors on a few lines. The sample looked okay to me so I picked a color and told the guys to go ahead. They did about 400 sq feet in about 5 hours. The result was pretty good (I graded them a B on quality). The color was good, but there are a few areas where the grout looks uneven (pits or dips in the grout). The problem of the uneven lines was due to the original installer, but I would have liked it if the Grout Doctor could have made the lines more consistent. The workers did fix several areas, but others were not fixed. Also in a few areas the stain bled onto the side of the tile making the grout lines look fat. This issue occurred only in a few areas and the excess stain can likely be scrubbed off, but it would have been better if this issue did not exist. The workers fixed my loose tile without any issues. I am writing this review one day after the work was completed so I do not know if the sealant will prevent the grout lines from becoming dirty again. Generally it was a good experience and I would use the Grout Doctor again.

He did a great job. I saw his truck locally, took down his number and called him. I did a search on Better Business Bureau and it seemed to be okay. His quote was great and everything was accurate.

Showed up on time. Cleaned up after through. Work looks very professional. Looks like a new bathroom for a fraction of the cost. Extremely satisfied.

It was okay, although not as good as my Grout Doctor experience in St. Louis. I felt that they were more reasonable and did a more thorough job, but it could simply be the market. Victor Jones was our agent and is a very personable person. He does appear and did share that he has more work than he can handle as well as some staffing issues. I would definitely use them again, but I'd make sure I checked the final work a little more closely.

RESPONDED QUICKLY TO MY INITIAL CALL ASKING FOR A BID. SCHEDULED THE WORK PROMPTLY. PRICE WAS GOOD AND I USED AN ANGIE'S COUPON. I WAS QUITE PARTICULAR ABOUT THE PLACEMENT OF THE GRAB BARS. THEY WERE PATIENT AND WORKED WITH ME UNTIL I FELT THE POSITIONS WERE JUST RIGHT. WORK WAS COMPLETED IN THE TIME FRAME THEY QUOTED. WERE NEAT, CLEANED UP. I HADN'T THOUGHT AHEAD TO HOW MUCH DUST IS CREATED BY TAKING OUT THE OLD GROUT; GROUT DUST SETTLED ON ANY AVAILABLE SURFACE. NOT MUCH COULD BE DONE ABOUT THAT THOUGH.
