Since this was a small job Rick was able to schedule the work quickly. Rick and his son and showed up exactly on time and finished the job quickly. In fact, they finished with time to do several other small jobs in the time he had scheduled for us. In total they hung the porch light, reinstalled 2 outdoor ceiling fans and replaced an outlet with one that also had usb ports. The price was very reasonable for the amount of work done. We were so impressed by their work and professionalism that we will be using them again quite soon.

Rick Smith of Smith Electric has been out to my home twice. Once, to turn back on the main breaker to my home which I turned off due to a friend installing a light fixture. I learned this is not a wise thing to do!! Rick did not charge me for coming on the spur of the moment and flipping on the breaker! I had and the friend had tried numerous times to get it to work... but it needed coaxing by a professional!!!
Then I had an oven issue... Another friend helped me install a new heating element in my oven. Although, we got the heating element in... the breaker to turn the oven back on would not stay on...
So once again, I called Smith Electric and Rick said to first call an appliance repair person to see if the part was wired into the oven correctly. If it was, to then give him a call. I had appliance person out, Michael of Atlanta Appliances Repair, and Michael said all was replaced in the oven correctly. The breaker was bad. After Michael had tested the breaker and left, I called and Rick. Rick and his son, Jordan, came out the next morning, exactly at the time he said he would and replaced the breaker. As soon as the breaker was replaced, the oven worked perfectly!!! I feel the price was very fair, particularly as it was New Year's Eve!
I will use them again and again, and I highly recommend them!!!

Rick Smith (and his son) are wonderful. Extremely knowledgeable, reliable, excellent to interact with, and efficient. I never felt pressured to do anything. He let me know which things were imperative and why and which things could wait. He explained everything and provided detailed estimates as he worked. He had great ideas for fixing awkward, aesthetic issues. I emailed him weeks after the work was completed with a question about one of my lights and he responded within the hour with the exact info that I needed. I will happily use them again for any electrical needs in the future!
