Reels Lawn Mower Repair and Service

I have been looking to get a riding lawn mower fixed and did some calling around before finding Reels Lawnmower Repair. We had two lawn mowers that we were hoping to get repaired so we brought over one after speaking with a very nice younger gentleman on the phone. He walked me through the process and I explained that the mower deck was getting caught and need repair. We had taken the deck off so we could view it better and I had asked the gentleman on the phone if they would like it put back on before bringing it over. He replied no, it'd be easier off. So we brought all the clips and screws for it so they had all the parts. Two weeks after we dropped it off, I called to get a status on it and another man picked up and gave me the run around that if I didn't have two weeks to wait for it, then I shouldn't have dropped it off. That was fine, it was still early compared to other places. I was just going off the time frame someone else said to me. He then mentioned he should get a chance to look at it in the next week. Alright, fine. After four weeks, I called again, and alas, was told that he had not looked at it because he spends 90% of his day on the phone and can never get to working on any lawn mowers. He then mentioned he'd get look at it the next week. Finally after 6 weeks, I called and he still mentioned that he hadn't looked it and kept mentioning that us bringing it in "pieces" made it harder for him after we had asked if they'd rather us put it back together. He once again mentioned spending more time on the phone than being able to work on the motors. I finally just said I didn't want to be rude, but that we would be coming to pick it up. At this point, the man was blatantly rude stating that I was more than welcome to pick it up and wait 9 weeks somewhere else, then hung up on me. I read the reviews before coming here, they say he does good work and has fair prices, and I don't have anything against that, I am sure he does fine work. However, the customer service of the business is disorganized and rude.

called last week and then again yesterday, told him when I would be by. I told them I lived in Ball Ground, he said no problem. I get it. I literally drove up to the shop, dropped off my tri-cut 27 inch (which I have own for 21 years), came back in an hour. Backlap and maintenance done. Blade was razor sharp. Cut a grocery store receipt in half with the precision of a surgeon blade when I got home. I have taken my mower to Glassland, Howard Brothers, DR and a few other lawn equipment shops over the past 21 years. Reels is the best so far. Appears all he does is repair and maintenance mowers. Great value, high trust and quality work. I know, what a concept!!!

Excellent service, Richard explained the issues and gave advice on care for equipment. Fast turnaround for a sole proprietor business! Will use this business in the future.

Work was done professionally and on time. Gave him a "B" for punctuality because he did arrive late for an initial pick up, although he did call to inform me he was running late.

This is the second time that I've used their service.  The first time was to get the lawnmower up and running after sitting unused for more than three (3) years with ethanol fuel in the tank.  Try as I might, I could not get the lawnmower to run even using fresh gasoline and starting fluid.  Took it over to Reel's on a Saturday afternoon.  We arrived late (after they officially closed), but they were waiting for us.  After documenting everything that I had done and the problems I had encountered, they did a quick check to make sure that there weren't any major problems with the ignition, engine, or the drive gears that might cost more than the lawnmower was worth (my choice) before accepting the unit for repair which was completed three days later at a very reasonable cost of $50.00 parts and labor.
After about two months worth of heavy use, the self-drive mechanism on the lawnmower started to drag then locked up.  I took the unit back to Reel's and they removed the locked up wheel, fixed the lawnmower, and reassembled it in less than 30 minutes time.  Cost was only $10 labor and parts. 
Their's is best service that I have ever had for all the years of lawnmower maintenance/ownership bar none!

It went perfectly, no better person around to do work like this. I have used all repair shops in Acworth and Kennesaw and this guy is  the BEST!!!!
