I hired Mixon Landscaping to replace an area of bermuda grass with zoysia sod. Donnie and his crew were wonderful! He was prompt and informative when he came out to give us an estimate and he immediately emailed a proposal of work to be done. I received reminder text messages regularly informing me of the dates work was to be done. On the sod's installation date Carson and his crew were excellent! They were very prompt, professional, and did a fantastic job, going above and beyond in ensuring everything was perfect. The new sod looks wonderful!! I highly recommend Mixon Landscaping!

Donnie was awesome from day one. He came right out to look at my yard, gave me a quote quickly, and started the process for sodding my very beaten up (understatement) backyard. They have just finished up and I am AMAZED. Everyone was so nice, punctual, and my yard is so beautiful. My husband, dogs, and I are so thankful!!

From the first meeting with Donny to get the quote until the final day of work, Mixon Landscaping was very professional and punctual. When speaking to other landscapers to do the work, I had many concerns that the final grading wasn't going to be done to my likings. But Donny dispelled any of those concerns, and grading was complete better than I had anticipated. His crew was very courteous and did not try to rush the job. Irrigation was installed with all the attention to detail that I had hoped for, and every inch of my property gets plenty of water. The sod used was the best quality, and installed perfectly. I will definitely use them for all of my landscaping needs. I usually do not write reviews, and had forgotten to do this one, until months later (today), Mixon arrived at my neighbors house to re-sod an area of their backyard, and the supervisor noticed a small area in my lawn that had been damaged by another vendor. Without a thought, they grabbed their shovels and cleaned the damaged area up, replacing a piece of sod. This is the quality of customer service that is missing from most companies today. Most landscapers would have walked on by it, but not Mixon! I highly recommend this company.

The crew arrived when they indicated and performed the work in an efficient professional manner.  Clean up was excellent after the job was performed.  I was very pleased with the results of the work performed.

Over all this was a great experience.  From the moment I called Donny, he has been very responsive and kept me up to date every step of the way. His quote was the best of the 4 I received. The work was done earlier than expected. The sod was delivered at 7 am this morning, and Donny and his crew arrived shortly after.  They removed what was left of my grass, graded the yard, laid down top soil and installed 3 pallets of sod. They were done in record time, with total clean up and the yard looks great! I am very pleased with the work that was done and would recommend them highly!

Mixon Landscaping is a company that you can count on to do what they claim. Donny, himself, and his entire crew showed up at exactly 8:00 A.M. which was the agreed upon time to show up. Donny's crew was efficient and detailed in their job. They removed every piece of sod and disposed of it as well,and the new Emerald Zoysia laid down is beautiful and green. Donny even took the time to provide helpful tips to maintain the new sod and help it continue to grow. 
I have had some disappointment in the past with other surrounding landscape companies and I'm very happy I was able to finally find a company that truly stands behind their work. If you're new to needing landscape assistance don't waste your time and the headaches, because believe me I have been through them.

     I had sod in front yard and side yard replaced i ask donny about using zoyia due to shade he no problem well guess what sod not doing well looks like i  just wasted $6000  also my yard has a lot of ruts due to settling  very poor work i felt like they were in a big hurry  iam sorry i ever used mixon  i will have to redo in spring

I have had water and mud problems in the back yard for years. I am in a low lying area. I have tried fescue sod in the past. With 3 big dogs, it couldn't hold up to the traffic.
I put pea gravel all over the backyard. That worked well for several years. I was getting some wild grass coming up in the middle but it was staying dry. It was time for more gravel or to try grass again. I decided to try zoysia sod.
I described to Danny the yard history and drainage situation. I also wanted the yard leveled off but slanted slightly so the water would run to the two neighboring creeks. He said they would remove some of gravel and level it and build it back up with soil.
What alll I reviewed with Danny was not communicated to the crew that came out to do the work. I did a quick review. When I saw them taking up way too much of the soil and base gravel they assured me they would build it back up with top soil. Well, I now have a low area at my porch where water collects. I called, Danny tired to tell me it would do better once the grass rooted. I was not satisfied. He came out and said he would put in a drain for an additional $275. I paid it and they put the drain and and added back a very small amount of topsoil at no charge. I had hopes the grass might be OK once it came out of dormancy but, 8 months later, most of the grass has now died.
In addition, they were often there 1-2 hours before the time agreed. This meant they were spreading chemicals on my yard before I was able to secure my dogs in the house. This happened again when they came to put the drain in.
If you don't need any grading and you picked the correct grass for your area, these folks know how to lay it. The crew is polite, neat and works quickly.  If you need any grading or have any other issues, I would look elsewhere.

I was dissappointed in the service overall.

They were very personable, friendly, thorough, finished early and gave us a detailed breakdown of what he was going to do. I was impressed they finished early when it was raining. There weren't surprises either.

Irrigation system is working well, and the sod took hold great!  Lawn is looking awesome!  I was not pleased with how long it took to actually get it installed, but all's well that ends well.

I am very satisfied with the routine lawn care service they provide. They are punctual, professional and courteous. They mow, edge, trim bushes, put down mulch and clean up when finished.
