I hired HP years ago when I first purchased my home to do residing. Then I had them redo my windows. I've referred a number of clients to them and everyone has been really pleased. Their business has grown so much they have a more limited service area now, but when we had a couple of problems they fixed them and were super responsive. This company does business the right way.

I can't say enough great things about this company. It is owned by a young couple who strive to make everything perfect.

I researched with great detail having my home resided with Hardy Plank. I was a huge, expensive job and I tired to avoid any mistakes. I reviewed proposals and details with 4 different top rated companies. All the prices were within a few hundred dollars or each other. What I found different about HPExteriors was that they cut no corners to save expense on the job. I wanted to make sure that all Hardy standards were followed in order to give me a better opportunity to a longer lasting job. I narrowed it down to two companies and then chose HPExteriors. It was the best contractor decision that I have ever made.

The plan for the house was laid out completely from start to finish for me. The schedule was kept for the construction and the painting. All of the work done was completely in line with the Hardy specs and the finish painting on the job was fabulous. Each day at the end of the job, the job site was cleaned up and left tidy for the next day.

The house looks wonderful and I have the peace of mind to know that this will last a very long time due to the excellent construction skills, materials and painting provided by this company.

We had a wonderful experience with HP Exteriors. We found them through word of mouth and decided to get an estimate (along with a couple other companies). From the initial meeting, we could tell Chris knew what he was talking about, and the price was right, so we went with HP. Chris and Harmony were both super-responsive to our email questions (and there were a lot!) to get everything squared away.
Chris & the crew showed up on time on our start day and even stayed late (in the rain!) to make sure our new patio door was installed and lockable before they left. The attention to detail of the siding crew was phenomenal. My husband was very impressed by their use of a 'flashing brake' (a big tool for bending flashing) for essentially making every piece of flashing custom with a perfect fit. My husband is very particular about certain things, and even he was impressed by the work the siding crew did. Harmony helped guide us to paint colors after talking with us and seeing our house, which we absolutely love (goodbye 70s brown!). The painting crew was efficient and cleaned up well every day.
Everyone working at our house throughout the week was extremely friendly, respectful and punctual. We are very pleased with the work HP Exteriors did and would recommend them to anyone looking for similar work done.

Everything went perfectly.  The job started on the day they had told us they would start.  The job ended one day late because painting was delayed due to rain.
I can't express how happy I am that we found someone that cares about doing a quality job and does great work at a reasonable price.

We had HP re-side our house about 4 years ago.  They did a great job then.  A few weeks ago, a tree fell in our yard and hit our house.  It damaged about 15-18 boards of the siding.  Really lucky that more damage wasn't done.  I worked with Harmony to get the boards replaced and repainted.  Service was quick, with in a week and the job looks great.  Same paint, you can't see the repairs.  Highly recommended.

My experience with HP Exteriors was top notch. I first put my project out to bid and HP came back with the best price.  Harmony and Chris attended to all my needs with swiftness.  The process itself was a fast one.  Once I was put on the calendar and my date rolled around, we were fortunate enough to have a week of good weather so that the crew could work through.  Some of the siding caused nail pops inside my house.  Once finished with the work outside they came inside and patched all of them and even worked around my time since this was an interior job.  The paint job is excellent.  To top everything off, payment wasn't expected until the end of the project, a sign of a world class company that is not out to get you.
My wife and I will continue to use HP Exteriors for any of our exterior housing needs.

I had got three estimates and they are one of the preferred HardiePlank installers or whatever their certification is, and they also had good ratings on Angie's List. It is a husband and wife team, Chris and Harmony. Chris came out and did the estimate and he knew so much about the siding and HardiePlank siding and what needed to be done, and how things needed to be done and how to address any issues I had on the house. He was so knowledgeable, and he brought all the HP spreadsheets and provided them and told me how it was supposed to be done and how they do it. So I felt really comfortable with them and decided to have them do the work. Chris was basically the project manager for the siding part of it and Harmony was the project manager for the painting part of it. They provided me with upfront information about what needed to do before they started and what to expect. I got an update everyday while they were doing the job. I didn't have to be home everyday. I got home the first day, and then after that, they had my cell phone, so they would call me or text me and I did get an update everyday. They would call me if anything came up or they had any questions or anything they needed to discuss with me. I met their crew and I liked that there was a lot of communication, and they really were on top of things and let me know every step of the way and made sure that I looked at everything and was happy with it. I started work with Harmony on the painting while they were doing that, and she gave me general information about what colors were the most popular and told me about the colors that tend to work better from a real estate point of view if at any point I was thinking about selling the house. She also gave me a color palette and suggested colors that she could start with. She was very helpful in terms of color and figuring out what colors to use. She gave me updates on the painting as they were doing it. They were reasonable on the price. I had a few estimates done and they were within the same range as most other ones. They were very thorough and did everything as it was supposed to be done.

We had bucking siding and needed painting. I looked around for Hardieplank contractors and interviewed a few. I was very impressed with Harmony and Chris Sockman. They take customer service to the next level! I got 3 quotes to reside my house and paint it. HP was right in the middle of the other two. After reading reviews and meeting with the companies, I chose HP because I was very comfortable with them. They did everything I asked in the quoting process. The others wanted me to sign today, but HP was open to me getting other quotes. I dragged my feet for 2 years, but Harmony re-quoted me with only minor changes.
The project went very well with the crew cleaning up each day. I saw Chris on site either morning or night each day of the project. He showed me the progress, issues they were finding (and fixing at no charge) and updating me on the completion date. The project was competed on time and with no surprises. Chris joined me for a final walkthrough before payment. Quality was excellent. I'm writing this 3 years later and the house still looks great.

I felt so reassured that I told my friend that I didn't even feel like going ahead with the other two presentations, but I did. The other two were OK but I just felt that HP Exteriors with Chris and Harmony Sockman would be there to watch over me and guide me through the process. I just can't say enough about how easy they made this whole process. They both stood by me and guided me every day during the installation. Each day either Chris or Harmony would be there checking on the work and holding my hand. I have never seen a better bunch or hard working men doing the work each day. They worked fast without sacrificing the quality of their work. The same goes for the painting crew and the gutter installers. All of those men should be very proud of themselves and the work they did. I certainly am. So, if you are where I was and are sitting there afraid to move ahead. STOP IT. HP Exteriors will treat you like their own family. You will feel their interest in YOU and making sure you are COMPLETELY satisfied.

I will start off my saying that any time you have to spend 5 figures on anything it is never an easy pill to swallow. It is even worse when the person trying to get your sale treats you as a number and not a person. You are NOT going to get that from HP Exteriors. This project was nerve racking experience for me. I had been putting it off for years due to cost and fear of the unknown. I am a single guy living on my own so I only had friends to bounce ideas off of, but ultimately I had to make the decision myself. This is the PRIMARY reason I chose HP Exteriors. Harmony and Chris help calm my nerves down about doing this reside. The two of them help me narrow down and make quick decisions about most of this project. The paint colors for the house took more time. I spent 3 weeks trying to figure out paint colors. Not good at matching colors on this scale. By the time this project was done I felt like I got my monies worth and was more than happy to write them the check for this project. I get compliments by people in my neighborhood weekly. I am also able to finally start my rebuild the front porch project, and replace the back door project, and replace the garage door project, and ........I am out of money now. :) I highly recommend HP Exteriors to anyone looking for new siding, doors, and windows. Their price is reasonable and your are treated like family from day one.....unless you don't like your family, then they will treat you like a good friend. ;) I will be recommending HP exteriors to people in my neighborhood and friends.

I realized I never came back to give an update to my review from March 2012 after going through the 'extensive' estimate process to replace our siding, 12 windows and a basement door, and selecting HP Exteriors to do that work. Almost 1 year later we could not be happier with outcome, and the work done by Chris, Harmony and the HP team. As noted we went with HardiPlank and selected the ColorPlus product which comes with a 15 year (limited) warranty (paint and labor). We are also extremely happy with the window replacement and I can confirm the quality of the windows and the work done by Chris to replace them was excellent.
So, almost 1 year after the work was done, I can confirm we are extremely happy with the end result. The house looks great and the siding and window replacement resulted in solid energy savings through both the summer and winter months. I was fully confident after I went through the process to get estimates (refer my Mar 2012 review) that I had made the right choice by going with HP to do the work, and I can unequivocally confirm that now.
I should also add there were no 'hidden costs' and the final cost for the work done was equal to the estimate.

Chris from HP Exteriors was the first contractor to come out and give me a quote. At the time, I was not sure if I needed to replace all my siding, just paint, or only address the bad areas. Chris was very helpful in assisting me in evaluating my existing siding. He then gave me a quote that broke down the project into pieces, if I decided to go that way. From the beginning, he and Harmony were the most professional, knowledgeable, and helpful contractors I spoke to. I got quotes from 5 other siding companies and they were all more expensive and most were not as knowledgable about the product and the install. I was very impressed with the quality of work of the siding crew, paint crew, and gutter crew. Chris did a great job of installing the windows. There was a measurement error with 2 of the windows, and he had to re-install the old windows and order the correct size, but those were installed very quickly and there were no issues. The siding crew did a great job of properly installing the siding and flashing. Anything I saw that I had a question about was either explained to my satisfaction or corrected immediately. The paint crew also did a great job. No overspray or runs. The trim paint all looks great and the siding all looks wonderful. The gutter crew understood how I wanted the gutters installed and they did a great job also.
Overall, we couldn't be more pleased with our decision to hire HP Exteriors.

I thought they were very professional. They did excellent work, and I was very happy with what they did. I would use this company again.

We began investigating siding companies about 2 years ago. HP Exteriors was one of them. I was very impressed with Chris's knowledge of the product and process. He was the only one to walk me through the installation instructions from James Hardie. Well, life happens and we had to put the job off for a while. Once we were ready, I contacted HP and 2 others. HP was ready to go, kept the same price (through a price increase from Hardie) and the others were dragging their feet. I selected HP after Chris came out again. Everything happened according to their schedule. They started when they said they would and completed the job on time if not a day early. Great communication through out the project and excellent results. They were very accommodating to our schedule. We had a portion of our kitchen that was very drafty in the winter and Chris and his crew took a look at it and think they have it fixed. Looking forward to toasty toes in the winter.

The best thing was no surprises at the end. Before any contract is signed, HP lists the add on charges for rotten wood/repairs. You know from the front what an installed sheet of plywood or soffit costs. Excellent!!

After getting quotes from 3 companies for Hardi siding replacement, gutter replacement and full paint job, I decided on HP Exteriors because Chris seemed to know so many details about the Hardi product and installation, and their price was in line with the other companies. I knew also that I could communicate well with Harmony and Chris from my experience in getting a quote sheet from them. I could not be happier with all aspects of the job and my house looks great. Harmony and Chris are a pleasure to work with as well as their siding crew and painting crew. The gutter crew did not impress me but they did complete the job properly when asked. I am extremely happy with HP Exteriors and the work they did for us!
