I was very unhappy with this company, I asked how much was the service call and stated it was $120, I thought that was a little expensive but was desperate to get it running. We have a Maytag with a "limited" 10 yr warrantee and it is only 3 years old! A man came out by the name of Travis M. and I told him the problem that the washer would make a very loud obnoxious noise when agitating. After checking out the machine from top to bottom he had to use our internet I guess to diagnose the problem, approximately 20 minutes later he said I would need to purchase two parts and the total would be like $368! For what I asked, well he said the 120 was just for coming to my home and there would be another $120 for his labor plus the parts (which were marked up of course)! I said I could almost buy another washer for that and I told him since he hadn't even been here an hour I would pay him the $120 and I would purchase the parts from him, he agreed but then I found out he said he had already installed one part and the other was in his van! Then he was trying to remove the part he said he installed and I stopped him telling him to leave my home and I reluctantly wrote him a $205 check for nothing!!! My husband came home and installed both parts which were valued at only about $40 and fixed the machine with a little help from U-Tube! Don't use this company! It is a big rip-off! I wish I had known the problem earlier and only needed the clutch (actually just an adjustment) I could have saved myself a whole lot of aggravation!

I requested service 8 days ago, and my appliance still isn't repaired, even though I'm told the part is in town and easily within driving distance. It's bad enough that they do not have good communication, sense of urgency or care, but they're not functioning as a reliable business. No parts drivers on staff and no inclination to get in a vehicle and go pick up a part that isn't that far, to service an appliance that they diagnosed a week ago. The owner basically told me there's nothing we can do about it (even though the part that's in town and not to far to pick up).

I tried to unclog my dishwasher on my own. I couldn’t do it so I call these people. First the person the send out tells me after looking at it that there is nothing wrong with it. So I SHOW HER MYSELF. Then after about a 5 min analysis the technician says it need about $470 worth of parts and labor. She says I should just get a new dishwasher at that price. My home warranty says to fix it through. So They come back to do the repairs. And it still doesn’t work. So They come back AGAIN and say that it was faulty parts. So they order the same exact parts again. ?‍♀️ When I say I want my money back if this doesn’t work this time, they say that probably won’t be available. So this time they send a different technician out to put in the 2nd set of new parts only for him to find out it was just a clogged filter. Which is EXACTLY WHAT I SAID IN THE FIRST PLACE!! 1 month and 400 bucks later, I finally got an unclogged filter. Will NOT be using these people ever again. Complete waste of money.

I used them because that's who the manufacturer recommended. It wasn't a big repair. It felt like they were a little expensive. They were prompt and they did the repair promptly. The guy was very pleasant. They were only here about 10 , minutes. I know they have a minimum, but still... The part wasn't that expensive. It would be nice if they broke down their minimum into a half hour. It wasn't a big fix, they did not have to come very far and it only took them five minutes. I just felt like they could have charged less. Their quality was good. I think they were here on time. If the price was right I would use them again.

The technician had the ovens up and running in about an hour and the charges were below what we were expecting.

The repairman was very courteous.  Arrived a little later than predicted but it was not a problem.  After learning from me that my washing machine would no longer go into a spin cycle, he called into the manufacturer and was able to learn the procedure of resetting the sensor on my washing machine.   He then replaced the set of water hose.   When he first told me they needed to be replaced, I was skeptical (wondering if this was a way to jack the bill up).    However, the water flow has definitely increased and the set of hose are of much better quality.   He also moved the machine in such a way that it no longer shakes the whole house when it goes into spin cycle.   All in all, I was very pleased with the service and would definitely call this company again for any other appliances that might go awry.

The ice maker in our fridge had stopped working some time ago. I finally decided to get it fixed. I checked Angie's List and called Dr. Fix-it. An appointment was made, and the technician arrived as promised. He got the ice maker working again without replacing it and even called a few days later to make sure it was still working. I am well pleased.

The microwave stopped heating, made a louder than normal noise when I turned it on.
I had normally called Dr. Fixit in the past with large appliance problems, but this time, I decided to call someone else, Appliance Doctor.  The doctor arrived, looked at the job and said, "Forget it.  Call someone else!"
So, I called Dr. Fixit.  Richard came out and said that my best bet would be to replace the Magnetron, diode and capacitor.  Since the door springs were broken, I told him to replace them also.  He quoted a guaranteed price for parts and labor.
Parts arrived and Richard showed up to put them in.  The unit was a sheet-metal and screw nightmare.  God bless Kitchenaid.  Their engineers are idiots. ( I am an engineer by education - class of 1964 ).  Richard had to leave to get more information.
Richard returned the day before Thanksgiving and started to work.  He was here for about eight hours.  When he left, the parts were installed, but he had broken the microwave door trying to reassemble it.  He accepted responsibility and said that he would return with the repair part at his expense.  The microwave was operable while exercising extreme caution.
Several days later, Richard returned with the required part and installed it.  The microwave was back to normal.
Dr. Fixit honored their original quote for labor in spite of the fact that it took probably 12 manhours more than it should have.  Richard was a saint.  I have a Kitchenaid oven, warming drawer, microwave, dishwasher and refrigerator.  For the most part, Kitchenaid is junk and I will never purchase the brand again.

We have used them before to correct icemaker issues in our Viking side by side. Their work then and now has always been well done. We will use them again.

It was great, he came and assessed the problem, and ordered the part. He returned later to replace it, and was very professional and helpful. I will use them again in the future.

The repairs were done promptly, but unfortunately the issue has not fixed completely.  When we called back to ask them to come back to complete the repairs, they told us the warranty was now expired.  Too bad they don't stand by their work.  We will not use them again!

It was good.  It was like an AAA fix for a refrigerator that was dying but they don't service my area any longer.  Episodically if business is good for them they'll start coming to my area because Epic Wilmington is closer for them but if business starts slaking then they'll go to the outline community.  The main guy that I know from the company is very knowledgeable but his co-workers or his other technicians aren't so knowledgeable.  When they come to fix a problem they do it to their limit and always call him on the cell phone and he walks them through the steps.  I think their pricing is reasonable.  They do very good with their punctuality and communication.  I will not use them in the future because I found somebody else that does a better job and who isn't episodic.

The technician was very knowledgeable and professional. he performed the required service quickly and efficiently. Upon completion, the noise was gone and dryer was functioning normally. The only issue I had with this company was the appointment scheduling. Originally, my appointment was scheduled between 10 a.m. and 12 p.m. Their office soon called me back and I was told they had an unexpected emergency call and asked if I could reschedule to between 12 and 2 p.m. I agreed. When the technician called me, he told me he would arrive between 1 p.m. and 3 p.m. I called him at approximately 3:05 p.m. to check his status as he had not arrived, and he stated he was about 20 minutes away. He finally arrived at 3:40 p.m.

I have used Dr. Fix-It twice in the last year, the most recent being yesterday.  First the response to my call was immediate followed by an immediate service call!  The service professional was just that...professional.  He was prompt, neat, knowledgable, and polite.  He replaced all the parts needed explaining everything in detail.  He also check the refrigerator for anything else and adjusted what he saw not charging for that.  The cost was very reasonable for the added line we asked for.  The initial problem was covered by warranty.
I would definitely recommend Dr. Fix-It, we couldn't be more pleased .

They met my expectations and the price was fine. The only bad this is that it too them awhile to come to the house; our schedules weren?t matching up.

We had a household full of company when the dishwasher overflowed. We called the appliance repair about 2 o'clock in the afternoon. He came by at 5:30pm and looked at the dishwasher. Once he realized what part was needed he called and ordered the part. He came back the next morning with the part and finished the job. We were so relieved to have the dishwasher again.
