Superior Septic Tank Service

I called and left a message with Superior this morning, and they called back promptly. Even though they don't serve my area (I didn't realize that when I left the message), they then asked me what was going on with my septic tank, advised me as to what they believed I could expect to be wrong, and then took the time to call someone in my area who could refer a reputable company. All this while I wasn't even going to be a customer! I was surprised and extremely pleased to get such friendly, old-fashioned nice service! :)

Things I learned from them; Don't flush any kind of wipe (even flushable and septic friendly). These will clog their hose causing them to have to take them out by hand which can cost 700-800 dollars not to mention damage your system by flushing them in the first place. Foods cause greasy build up in your septic so don't use the garbage disposal if you have a septic system and certainly don't poor oil or grease down the drain. I hope this helps someone else.

Was honest about choices and prospects for success. Didn't try to push additional services (which may be needed later anyway). Fairly prompt, considering weather-caused delays. Adjusted schedule to accommodate our limitations. Kept me informed of progress.

Superior Septic was very quick to come to our house to evaluate and pump our septic system. We kept hearing different problems that were beyond the basic pump and inspect but the price for repairs increased very little over our estimate considering that we had to replace our septic pump. We were shown each problem and time was taken to explain why there was a problem and the proper way to fix the problem. We feel that they were very fair with the price. We were also very pleased with the professional behavior of both people working. I would recommend them to others.

First, I can't say enough about Eric's professionalism. Superior Septic was on a Glynn county list of approved septic installers and the only company I contacted that actually returned a phone call. The business phone number is his cell and he answers or returns call promptly. At the onset of our problems, Eric came out to the house and dig a complete examination of the system. He was honest with what he found and seemed concerned about developing a solution. He gave us options from complete replacement to a less traditional technique, which could possibly save us thousands. I contacted the county and got the approval to install a remediator in the effort to reverse or delay a complete drain field failure. Here's what I think makes Superior Septic and Eric different than many companies. Eric discussed the specifics of our situation with the manufacturer of the remediation device and even looked to secure a $2000 money back guarantee on the system. Unfortunately, the soil conditions did not meet the manufacturer's minimum requirements and the $2600 install would not qualify. Again, Eric was very honest about what the system "could" do; parts and install were of course guaranteed, but the reversal of any drain field problems was not. Eric discussed the matter with me on several occasions and I finally decide to save the money and wait on installing a completely new drain field when the system was at the end of its life. I am a technology junkie and I really loved the idea of trying the remediator. Eric could have easily taken my money, did the install, and not worried again about the system. He didn't and that is what I believe makes this contractor a real pro!

Our auxiliary septic pump was failing to operate. It had burned out and needed replaced. This company evaluated the situation by running some very logical tests while explaining what they were doing. Once the work needed was determined, they ordered the necessary parts, came as scheduled, and took care of the job for the cost they predicted. We have not had any issues with the work or the pump. I can't remember what we paid, but after some research, I do know it was a fair price for parts and labor.

They are very good people. They did well, and I was very pleased. They did a good job cleaning up, and asked if I had any questions. I would definitely use them again.
