It went amazingly smooth. I was very apprehensive at the thought of not having a functioning kitchen for a period of time, with a busy family to feed. Richard timed the deliveries and installs so meticulously that I was only without some form of cooking for 2-3 days max. Unheard of! I spoke with many of my friends who had gone thru this and prepared me to be without a kitchen for weeks and I was terrified. That was not my experience at all with Hortman & Associates. It was timed with military precision and I could not be happier. Richard and Beth helped me with the big decisions of cabinet color, counter materials and colors, flooring etc. My kitchen is GORGEOUS! It has now been over a year, 2 holiday cooking seasons and my kitchen is still my favorite room in the house and I have had no issues. I wish I had done it sooner, but other peoples horror stories had made me hesitate. I am so glad my friend told me about Hortman and Associates because it was nothing but great!

Had several meetings with Richard before work begun to establish plan and get overall idea of design and cost. He was instructive but in no way pushy and incorporated readily all my must haves. I picked out granite, fixtures, flooring....then Terry,his marvelous carpenter and assistant would collect them. I was always comfortable with his subcontractors and simply left him my keys. Price did not overrun and he finished at budget. He was available promptly with the tree situation and had that resolved very efficiently....I am pleased.

Without a hitch. I had asked Richard for a referral and he gave me the name of a woman in my neighborhood. When asked she said she loved working with Richard Hortman, and I had never heard that about a contractor. He started on time, he ended on time and he finished at estimated cost. I truly trust this company.

Mr. Hortman is extremely meticulous. They are top professionals and it really shows in the high quality work they do. We have used them on several occasions for a variety of jobs, large and small. I have recommended them highly for years.
