Perennial Lawn & Landscape

I've been using them for a couple years. They do a nice job. It's a little expensive this time of year because they come out every week. I'm not certain that it needs to be mowed every week but that's the plan that they have for scheduling purposes.

I'm on a year-round, monthly contract with them, and It's $115 a month. They're just good and consistent and reliable. It takes them a little under an hour. They clean up after themselves fine.

The owner, Mike Davidson, was very quick in responding to our needs. He laid out a plan, including a diagram of our yard, home and where each plant and landscaping feature would be. He started the job on the day he had promised and followed through until it was completed. Along the way he was very accommodating to additional needs and changes we identified. His crew was very courteous and hard working. Considering the amount of work we had done, we thought the amount we were charged was very reasonable. Mike would always return our calls, texts or e-mails promptly. He even came back a couple of months after the job was completed and replaced 4 plants that were not thriving (the 100's of others were doing great). We will continue to use Perennial for our landscaping needs in the future and we would not hesitate to recommend them to others,

Mike and his crew were great! Best price of all quotes, but better service than I had received from some of those companies in past. Not everything when perfectly and they handled everything, which even required coming back to finish.

We are extremely pleased with the service that Mike and his team at Perennial Landscape provided. He has excellent design ideas and is willing to work with the customer's own ideas to come up with a design that is both appealing and can be maintained within the parameters set out by the customer. We didn't have enough available funds to do all the work we wanted done at one time, and he worked with us to divide the work into phases that made sense for us financially and also made sense in terms of which time of year to plant which things, etc. He patiently answered all our questions and was a responsive communicator. He's also just a nice person. We highly recommend Perennial Landscape.

I hired Mike and Perennial for lawn and landscape maintenance, with a twist.  My property is a 13-acre farm, with pet animals, production animals, and a vegetable garden, as well as ornamentals, a raise back deck, two stone walkways and a mulched walkway, and a long gravel drive.  There are a lot of spaces to keep track of in any kind of maintenance plan.  And because we eat from the farm, toxic chemical use anywhere is not ok.  
I had tried a previous company to perform biweekly maintenace and they simply could not customize their standard issue work (mowing square yards and applying chemicals) to my needs.  Custom service with attention to detail was no problem for Mike and Perennial!
We agreed on an initial plan for bi-weekly mowing, edging and weed management (hand-weeding, or only food-safe chemicals), using his standard annual fees divided into monthly payments.  Mike checked in regularly for feedback, and we quickly agreed we needed to modify things a bit.  In summer months, in addition to the two "big visits" for mowing and edging, he added a "short visit" on off weeks to get a bit more time for the weeding.  He added the fee for those extra trips only to the months in which they were needed, but also offered to spread out that upcharge over the full year if I had preferred.  In fall and winter, the team blew leaves off the porches, decks and walkways (no small feat on my wooded acreage), and picked up deadfall.  
Every time they came, things were completed as intended and the property was left neat and tidy.  In periods of rain delays or other schedule changes, Mike always let me know if the team would be coming on a different day.  They also use email billing with the option to mail a check or pay online, which is a further convenience.  
I have worked with Mike and Perennial for the past year.  I am disappointed to say that I have to conclude my contract with them because I am moving out of state, too far for this excellent service provider to commute.  I am afraid they will have made it difficult for anyone in my new location to live up to their performance!  I highly recommend this company.

He came and gave us some suggestions as to what to plant in a couple of problem areas in our front lawn, sending us photos of possible plants to use in each place. The suggestions and estimate were free.
He arrived on the day with his tiller and mulch, etc. He prepared the ground and removed some stones that were in the bedding area. He planted Lorapetalum and Autumn Fern.
After planting, he placed the stones in a border around the bed and cleaned the driveway and porch with a blower.
He was pleasant to talk to and professional in his actions. We will probably use him again for more plantings.

They were great. I liked everything. He came by and did a free estimate and he was right on time. We kind of went back and forth with email when he did the proposal and asked for suggestions. We decided on a plan and he was there ready to go when he said he would.

Mike and his crew are fabulous.  They maintained the property on a house in the area that we were trying to sell and which took much longer than anticipated.  During the 9 months it was listed, they routinely mowed and edged the lawn twice monthly for $100/month.  In the winter months, they reduced service to once monthly for half as much.  Even though the house was vacant and I wouldn't have known the difference in how many times service was run, Perennial never took advantage of this, remaining very professional at all times.  In fact, Mike was very quick to respond to any question or request I had via email and even went out of his way to quickly arrange additional services such as trimming bushes or laying pine straw when the realtor wanted better curb appeal for the realty pictures.  I have zero complaints and highly recommend Perennial Lawn and Landscape.

instillation of the plants at a reasonable cost. Mike answered all of my
question about the care and maintenance of the plants. Very professional.

I was very pleased with Mike.  After I first called him we arranged a time for him to meet me at the house, assess the job and give me a quote,  which I found to be very reasonable.  Then we arranged a time for the job to be done.  He and his assistant, Peter, were doing such a good job that I came up with several ideas for Mike to do further jobs at my place, which we discussed.  I am very pleased with the depth and shape of the garden space they dug out.  They also did a nice job of cleaning up after the project.  They were polite and professional.  I would definitely recommend Mike for various landscaping tasks.

Since initially we were in CA, I wanted to use a more secure form of payment rather than sending him a check thru the mail each month.  Although I don't think he had ever serviced his accounts thru PayPal before - he researched this process and set up that payment method for me.  That extra effort on his part showed a willingness to provide customized service to his clients and because the whole process worked so smoothly we retained Mike's services even once we relocated to GA.  Our experience interacting with Mike has been wonderful and we find him to be a great resource, very flexible, customer oriented and truthful (characteristics that are sometimes difficult to find in contractors these days :)

David and his crew are professional and do a super job!  My yard always looks great after they mow and trim, and they blow off the sidewalk, driveway, and patio.  David keeps in touch and emails me to let me know if and when they will come if they miss an appointment because of rain.   I have been very happy with their service!

From the first time Mike came out to give me a price, I was impressed with his willingness to do a good job and to please me as the client.  Since we were not happy with the old edging, Mike really wanted to understand what we wanted the final product to be.  In addition, Mike has great enthusiasm for what he is doing, and a willingness to learn and try different things. 
Each time Mike has been out, he has been on time with everything he needed to get to work.  He likes to start early, which indicates a strong work ethic. 
In addition, Mike goes the extra mile and doesn't mind spending some time to make things better.  As an example, he spent the time to clean out rhizomes growing outside the new edging so that unwanted plants would not be sprouting.  He encouraged me to get a soil test done before he does the new plantings.  Encouraging a soil test indicates to me that Mike wants to do things correctly and wants to know what additional soil additives we may need to help the plants to thrive.
The work went very well and Mike left the work area neat and tidy.  The edging lines look so nice that next month Mike is going to come back with more groundcover plants and fill in the sparse areas.
We will definitely continue to use Perennial Lawn and Landscape for projects.

He's very reliable and prompt.  His prices are very reasonable. He comes right away to see what you'd like to have done.  I've also had him cut down big bushes and remove that debris from my yard.
