This company installed the roof on my house a few months before I bought it (May 2015). While going to sell this property this year (July/August 2020), the home was inspected and there was serious rot/damage in a 3”x3” section of the roof from improper installation (per the inspector and the first company I went to for an estimate on repair). When I approached the company about this issue (it took 3 VM’s and a call from my realtor to get them to return my calls), they informed me my warranty on the roof was 5 years and expired in May 2020 (2-3 months prior). I informed them this problem and the damage was likely from improper installation, due to the severity and age of damage, and asked them to look at the property to confirm it and give me an estimate on the cost if they weren’t going to cover it. I needed to get this settled for the sale of the home and needed info ASAP. I was informed they’d have someone out to take a look, see if they were at fault, and give me an estimate if they were not covering the issue. I followed up, only to be told they needed the inspection report to see the property. I sent them the inspection report, followed up several more times in the coming days to no response. My realtor had to follow up again, only to be told they apparently already had someone out (but he wasn’t someone who could give an estimate for repair???), that they told me it would absolutely not be covered under warranty (which I was not told to this point), and they used the excuse of opening a 2nd location as to why they couldn’t get back to me at any point over the course of the week. Absolutely unprofessional. Not only did they improperly fail to install the roof the first time, they were entirely unresponsive to any attempts to get the problem resolved or even give me a quote for the repairs themselves. The way they avoided dealing with me makes me believe they were avoiding any form of responsibility, knowing I had a limited time to get resolution and would just “go away”. Do yourself a favor and avoid this business.
