Ralph Bauer

He doesn?t have a company name. He is private contractor. His price was fair as compared to the other companies. He sent some men out here that he had worked with previously. They left all alone because of the way he handled things. He had sent them to do a roof over, which was not what we wanted. We wanted a new roof. The men were willing to do that for us, but not for what he was going to pay them for. So, he told us that the materials had to come in from Florida, which was not true. It came in from right down the road, about a mile from our house. He got us only shingles worth $800. He never started the project. He dropped 2000 shingles out here and took off. We paid him part of the amount. After three weeks, we called him because we wanted the work done. He had an excuse for every time we called him. Later, he sent out two guys from a different company to do the job. They were employed by him at some point of time in the past. He wanted them to have some work and so he had sent them out to do the roof over, instead of the new roof. We told them that we could have got other people, who would have installed a new roof by the weekend. They told us that they would do the work, but they wouldn?t work for $800, which was what Mr. Bauer was going to pay them. These men are willing to go to court with us. They are a reputable company or they wouldn?t have agreed to court with us. He had contacted us first. We didn?t go to him; instead he had come to us. He was looking for a job. So, we asked him to give us an estimate. He came out quickly and gave us an estimate. He told us that he could get to work right away. The day in the bank was the last time we saw him. Finally, the other company did the work. We aren?t able to get hold of him. Apparently, he does this a lot. Once he knew that the police were involved, he said that he was advised not to speak with us. We will not use Ralph Bauer ever again.
