Boney's Lawnmower Service

I took two lawn mower carburetors to Boney's repair shop for cleaning/overhaul. When I dropped them off, I was told they would be ready/finished in two days. Two days later I called and was told that not only were they not ready, but that he (the mechanic) hadn't even begun working on them. Two more days later I call and get the same thing. Finally I stop by the shop to speak with the guy who is supposed to have been doing the work and was told that he was out for the day. Finally after nearly a week and a half of having my carburetors i pick them up. When I picked them up I spoke with the guy that had worked on them. Initially I had good feelings and thoughts about the work he had done on the carbs. However, as we continued to speak, he made a comment about "hoping I put all the parts back together correctly and everything back in together".....I didn't give it much thought at the time because I was kinda pressed for time at that moment, so I left. When I installed the carburetors I realized immediately that his concerns were well founded. On my push mower, fuel flowed freely out of the primer hose, which dumped fuel directly into the air filter, which all of this causes the engine to flood. Similar issue with my riding mower. It would not start but would crank over. Finally it stopped even cranking over. When I pulled the spark plug out, gas dumped out of the spark plug hole. After this I tried to call Boney's several times with no success. I decided to simply chalk it up to bad experience and tough lesson learned. I would never in a million years take anything to Boney's.
