His crew did an excellent job. Of 4 tree service contractors we got estimates from he is the only one that showed up to do the work. He came buy on a Sunday, provided me with a reasonable estimate, just a bit higher than the average and said that he would get back to me later in the week. True to his word he came over late Thursday, took down 1 tree and came back the next day and completed the work.

There will not be enough room to tell you all the horrible things Marty Blalock did. He first provided a card that said he was licensed, insured and a member of the National Arborist Association. I have not found a license, he took out an insurance policy the day he started the job and according to the National Arborist Association he is NOT a member. So first of all he is a complete liar. He removed the trees, severely damaging my fence. (Remember, I am not the one that hired him.) When I came from work to a completely destroyed fence his first words to me were, "Don't worry about your fence now, I'm going to fix it." I stupidly believed him. This was in November. On 12.31.12 he came back to remove the whole pine trees that I'm sure he was selling. He did not have enough room on the truck so he just dropped some on the side of the road. They stayed there until February when he finally came and removed them. I called Mr. Blalock several times and he was never available to talk to me. I finally got him on the phone 6 months later and although he certainly remembered that he destroyed my fence, he said he couldn't fix it because he didn't make any money on the job. Since he was hired by the next door neighbor I did not see that this had anything to do with me. We set up an appointment to talk about it and he did not show up. I filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau, they contacted him and he would not provide them an address to send it to. He did provide someone else's email address but then never responded to the complaint. Both of his business numbers are no contract cell phones so I was not able to obtain an address for him. All the ones listed on the internet are wrong. I finally remembered who he told me his insurance agent was so I called him and filed a claim. He didn't do it. I went to the insurance office a month later and got a copy of the policy and filed a claim myself. That's when I found out that he had only taken out the policy for this job and probably never paid for it because it was canceled 3 months later. The insurance company talked to him and because he is a pathological liar has denied the claim because he said he didn't do anything. This is not over. THIS MAN IS A CROOK, A CON MAN AND A LIAR IN EVERY WAY POSSIBLE. HE IS ALSO A GHOST BECAUSE HE HAS MOVED TO ANOTHER COUNTY, CHANGED COMPANY NAMES MORE THAN ONCE AND WILL NOT EVEN PROVIDE ANYONE WITH AN ADDRESS. DO NOT EVEN THINK ABOUT USING MARTY BLALOCK UNDER ANY NAME.
Description of Work: Marty Blalock was hired by the absentee owner of the house next door to me to remove 100 foot pine trees just over the property line that had been allowed to grow out of control.
