Bed'r Mattress

Being new to the area, we wanted to support local businesses, and because they claim to "support our troops," we decided to buy our new home's beds from Bed'r Mattress. The salesman seemed nice and volunteered to give us good discounted prices without even asking. We explained that we were "just looking" at the time since we hadn't physically gotten the house yet, and he said if we purchased that day, they were flexible and we could change our mind about the purchase or delivery date, just give them a call. And so that is what we did. We decided we didn't want/need 1 of the 4 beds purchased, and called to ask them to remove that bed from our purchase and change the delivery date. Suddenly, verbal agreements and niceties went out the window. I was told that there were "no refunds" and a reduced amount of store credit on "returns." As the bed had not even left the store or been delivered yet, I didn't understand how this was a "return." After the salesman had a talk with the owner, I was told they would agree to refund me $150 (out of the $340 I paid.) This hardly seemed fair, for them to keep $190 and the bed that they would immediately resell. I was frustrated and angry. I had still bought $500 in beds that I would take delivery of; I simply wanted a refund on one that I couldn't use. After an entire day of back and forth phone calls and a lot of frustration and annoyance, the owner said he wanted to make it right, and finally agreed to refund the cost of the bed I didn't want. The bed quality of the three we received seem quite nice. I would say that if you are going to shop here, be absolutely positively SURE you are buying what you want, because otherwise you are going to be stuck.
