"March 11, 2010 This response is backed with facts and evidence. Customer was not a licensed general contractor. This customer did assume the role of general contractor. This project was plagued with coordinating problems from start to finish. There were multiple contractors involved in this project. There were multiple conflicts with multiple contractors during this project. Customer is not in position to report profits or losses on our behalf. There was no mention of anything stolen until this internet assault. There was a bathroom light dropped and broken during installation. Customer received an apology and compensation for the broken light. ($107.00) The new light was installed. No owner or employee with this company has ever taken a two week vacation. There were NO “inferior” materials used on this or any other project. We only use grade A materials. The quality of workmanship or material of this project was never compromised. The electrical inspector cited eleven, not twenty three violations on 5-3-2007. These items were minor and were corrected. As of March 11, 2010, the Monroe County Inspections Department has made no calls referring to poor job performance as customer has stated. Nor do they have reason to. The initial price was to include general lighting for the UNFINISHED BASEMENT. The customer decided after the project started to complete the unfinished basement for his parents. This is where the conflict came about, and the price increased. The customer ADDED the following: 2 bedrooms, complete with their own bathrooms, 1 full kitchen, 1 dining room, 1 exercise room, 1bathroom, 1 billiard room, ceiling fans for the basement porch, 1 wet bar and a switched circuit for the wine storage. These added areas were completed with elaborate lighting. This work involved a price increase. As to the final grade tore up, we had an employee drive a truck to the back of the property to pick up the trash. Yes, the truck got stuck. Yes, we had to get it pulled out. Yes, it left ruts and had to be leveled back out. Yes, it rained the day before. This could have been avoided by not driving in the back after the rain. This could have also been avoided by the general contractor/ customer roping off the area with caution tape. We have been a member of the Better Business Bureau since 2004. The B.B.B. has a conflict resolution program that is designed to head off problems such as this, for the customers. Angies List was founded in 1995. This project ended around June of 2007. The customers post appears to be created on February25, 2010. We do not feel this comment was posted in good faith to inform consumers. This customer has posted without fact or evidence to support his claims."
