Five years ago we lived in CA and visited friends in GA where we owned land.  On one visit, we began to interview builders knowing that when my husband retired, we would build on the land in GA.  After interviewing six builders, we began to interview homeowners who had homes built by those builders.  Some of the homeowners stated that there was no follow up after they moved in and it was difficult to have minor things repaired.  We elimated those builders right away.  By the time we got finished, we had "one" builder that we wanted to build our home and he came with 'shining recommendations'.  We started the building process in March 2012 and the home should be completed by September 2012.  He is VERY meticulous.  We've met all his subcontractors and they all have the same work ethic and are perfectionists.  He's even given us the opportunity to price lumber, shingles, granite, carpet, tile, against other companies to get the best price.  I would recommend this builder to anyone.
