AMERICAN MUFFLER SHOP

Everything went well until I pick up my vehicle and drove it after the work was complete. I drove the truck back to work and while driving back to work I heard a rattle in the exhaust that I had not heard before. Took the truck back with a friend of mine along as a witness. When I got back the guy who installed my exhaust system called a coworker over and led me to believe that he forgot to inform me of the problem when I picked up the truck. He explained the rattle was in the catalytic converter and not the exhaust. I tended to believe him at first but was skeptical. Well, it was all lies. I have had the truck at several different muffler places around here and they all say the same thing that the new muffler is rattling inside. American Muffler still insists that it is the catalytic converter and not the muffler. They also made it very clear from the time I took it back that they would not change the catalytic converter if I chose to go that route. Well, good thing I didn't as it was the muffler and I had to pay to have the problem they caused fixed. Luckily it was only labor as the muffler was under warranty, but $100 is a $100.
