Lawn Irrigation
Bobby Hood is "The Sprinkler Guy". He was a delight to work with. He's knowledgeable, friendly, and professional.
I had originally gotten a quote from a highly rated Angie's list sprinkler firm. They apparently had more business than they could handle because they passed the job on to Mr. Hood after 3 or 4 missed phone calls. Mr. Hood honored the price and was able to get started almost immediately.
We have a large back yard that required quite a bit of trenching. Bobby has a large trencher that made short work of most of the trenches (some had to be dug by hand). The materials were top notch and they were professionally installed. It took Bobby plus a helper about a day and a half to finish the job. I've been pleased with the results.
Overall, I think the original contractor did my a favor by passing the job on to The Sprinkler Guy. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend him to my friends.
I gave him a B for pricing based exclusively on my "feel" for the cost of the job. I don't think you should always choose the cheapest contractor. I think the price was fair.
One nit: The cleanup could have been a little better. There were a few small plants that had been uprooted that weren't returned to their original location. The lawn was a littler messier than it had to be. Still, this is just a nit. I feel cleanup is a common shortcoming among contractors.
