I gave them specific instructions to let them know that fragile items were to go in the front of the trailer. I made the point that it was not a suspension ride trailer. I grouped all of the fragile boxes together. They sent me out in the midst of loading to get more shrink wrap, which I did. When I came back, I saw one of the boxes of china in the back of the trailer. When I looked at the front of the trailer, not only did I see boxes of books (on top of boxes that read "fragile, top load only), I also saw other, totally durable items up in the place where the china should have been. My breakables, including a digital piano that I had expressly said had to go in the front of the trailer, sat in the house, unwrapped and unpacked. When I pointed that out to them, Charlton McMillan became belligerent and said I didn't respect him. I pointed out that this was not the first time I had used them and I referred them to other people. I had been very clear that fragile items had to be packed in the front. He said they were leaving for a break, that they would be back with a full crew at 6. They left and never returned after being paid in full, for the whole job, leaving my household goods in my driveway. Unpacked, unprotected; I was there by myself. Furthermore, they knew that the job was time-sensitive and that I would be fined $200 at noon the next day if I was not out of the property. They left at 2 and at 7 o'clock that night that I realized they were not coming back. That was leaving me at the 11th hour to get everything I owned back in my garage before night fell. Buyer beware. They were already several days late, they were supposed to be there on Monday. I had to hire another company to finish the job. When they looked at the packing that had been done, they unpacked everything They found chairs shrink-wrapped with no padding under the shrink-wrap. Despite having been provided the number of blankets that Charlton McMillan said they would need, they decided to pick up an oil-stained blanket and decided to put that on a hand-painted antique. I had to pay twice and had to pay to undo the shoddy work they originally did. There was a mirror for a triple dresser that was unpacked. They had packed things that I told them not to pack. They completely disregarded the instructions they were given. I paid them for 13 hours and they left me completely stranded.
