This our 4th renovation/remodel with Mark Holland.  He has remodeled two basements for us;  which included bathrooms, a laundry room, gym,  bedrooms and family rooms and a kitchen (in a primary house).  This time it was the main level of our lake house and the loft master bedroom.  If you request a proposal from Mark he will also bring his albums of past work done.  This book  can also serve as an "idea" book.  On this project, all the judge's paneling in the bedrooms and family room had to go, it was replaced with sheetrock and a 6" baseboard.  The old 1980 stipled valted ceiling was replaced with 6" planks and wooden beams, a new Emerson ceiling fan.    Hardwood floors replaced carpet throughout.  The kitchen and bathroom sinks and cabinets were all replaced and granite counters installed. There was also electrical work to accomodate the new undercounter lighting, closet lights, recessed and pendant lighting, new sconces in both bathrooms and stairwell.  Mark replaced, stained and painted the staircase treads and railing.  He extended a wall to double the size of our master closet and another wall to enlarge our master bathroom.  All bathrooms / showers were retiled and a new backsplash installed in the kitchen.  Mark is punctual and very reliable~  taking great pride in his workmanship and the finished product;  he choses sub-contractors with the same work ethic.   He's open to new ideas and changes in direction (we threw him a couple of curves) but also has a wealth of experience and knowledge to share when asked.   We've called him in the past to find he's booked already but he is worth waiting for.
