Every year in the spring, I search for quality longleaf (long needle) pinestraw for my yard. Some years I have luck, other's I don't. I know what it should look like and how long it should be. I have had people bring me pinestraw that was slash or loblolly and try to convince it was long needle and I've sent them away. I've had others offer to put down straw and when I ask to count the bales, they get offended and leave or tell me they will let me count the strings when they are done...no thanks!
This is THE best company I have ever dealt with. I contacted David by text and he promptly returned my message even though he was on vacation. He guaranteed me his straw was long leaf because that is the ONLY straw he sells. He also said he had no problem with me counting bales. I felt very reassured.
They arrived on-time with nice long needle pine straw and the truck frame is an open style and you can clearly see the rows of straw both ways. I knew how many bales were in each level of straw so I was completely comfortable as I could see how much they used.
I normally spread the pine straw myself but because I needed so many bales this year and their spreading price was very reasonable, I decided to let them do it. They had a big crew, maybe 5 or 6 guys and were able to knock it out quickly while doing a nice job.
I loved that the pine straw price included tax and delivery!
They said they have been around for many years and service my area the most.
I am excited to finally have found a dependable and honest service for my pine straw needs and highly recommend them!!!

We have been using them for years. For the most part they are good.  When they do the work the quality is good.  Sometimes they say they are going to do something or come out at certain time and they don't do it or show up.

Dave Taylor seems like a nice guy. He says positive things like "you have my word" & "customer service is my highest priority". The problem is that he is incredibly unreliable.
I called him in late summer of 2013when I need to make a change in lawn service providers.   Dave showed up, did a great clean-up job, and started to do weekly service.  After about a month, we started talking about replacing the railroad ties with stone, and replacing the fescue with zoysia, replacing some plants.  I should have noticed the red flags when it took 4 weeks of constant calls to get the quote.  Then it was 2 weeks of "tomorrow for sure" before the work got started, $10k for everything.  Everything looked great, but I had some concerns about the drainage.  Dave said, don't worry about it, you have my word, let's keep an eye on it, and I promise I will do whatever it takes.  Winter comes and goes, and I'm paying him the same monthly fee, but they are showing up less and less.  The lawn team never bagged the leaves, just blew them into the landscaping beds. Some of the zoysia didn't germinate from the drainage problem. The beds were overrun with weeds. Several calls later, he's apologizing, so sorry, i had to fire a guy, I'll take care of everything.  He comes by with a group for about 3 hours to clean up the mess, promises to return to redo the drainage, and replace the dead plants.  He also said he couldn't believe the level of weeds in the new zoysia, he "had a friend" who would come over to fix.  That was the last I saw of him, about the first week in May. His website says they do pinestraw, and thats about all I would hire him for.  Stay far away, unless you are just doing a 1 time thing where you can closely monitor. Do not let him leave with a punch list additional items to accomplish, it will never happen.
