Landscaping
I was in charge of authorizing this particular contract and monitoring the progress. The crew was entirely foreign and spoke no English with the exception of the foreman who most often did not show up on the property with his crew. There was no way to communicate with the crew because of the language barrier and no matter how many complaints were made about this, the foreman continued to fail to show up on the property to direct his crew. The crew members themselves were very timely, diligent, hard working and pleasant, but there was no way to direct them or communicate with them. We maintained and renewed this contract for 10 years and it was not an easy decision to make to discontinue our relationship.
