A-1 SEWING MACHINE COMPANY INC

Very responsive and went above and beyond to service my machine the same day so we wouldn't have to make another trip. My Janome is working like new and I appreciated the friendly and professional staff.

Under the circumstances, I had a really great experience. My machine took a while to be addressed, however the timeframe was expected, as I was forewarned by the establishment prior to dropping my machine off. My initial quote was higher than the $59 price I received prior to pick up; as quotes are merely estimations of what the cost for materials and labor ‘may’ cost, prior to any hands-on. This is not my first experience with A-1 Sewing, but I must add that I am continually impressed. Especially, honest suggestions to return to the manufacturer of your machine as it may be still under warranty, which saves a customer money. I found the employees to be most patient and cordial. I must add however, I did note the attitude of another customer that was, let’s say, ‘less than savory’. I can understand being a little “antsy” regarding a call back, but to not support a small family-owned business because of a ‘What will you give me for free’ type of attitude is selfish and quite shameful. She had attempted to fix the wiring of the machine herself, and did more harm than good. Leaving one’s machine at a quoted price vs. other avenues, is merely an option and should be received as such, no matter how heartbreaking it may seem at the time. The covid-19 pandemic has affected us ALL as a whole. Personally, I am deeply appreciative of the measures taken and I am also keenly aware of their staff shortage and the fact that team effort was portrayed. I sat watching them pushing forward to take care of customers, even on their off days! So, Kudos A-1 Sewing! You’ve earned it and I will continue to support small businesses.

We have gone to A-1 Sewing Machine repair several times and each time I'm so impressed with their customer service and attention to detail. They do everything in their power to get your machine repaired and back to you as soon as possible. This is especially important now during the pandemic when everyone is making masks. It's a family-owned business and it doesn't matter who I speak to. Everyone is professional, friendly and accommodating. I was told they were 30 days out for machine repairs yet my machine was ready in less than 3 weeks. Even if it were to take longer, this is the place I will always take my sewing machine to be repaired.

just now Jun/13/2020@ 2:30pm I call this store after reading reviews and I'm having tough time understanding how in the world they have reviews that way they do.... coronavirus and all they're not letting people in at once. They put out 2 chair front of their store. A female customer was sitting alone and she was pretty upset, she said they had her sewing machine for 6 weeks however no words from them so that's why she's there hopefully to know what's going on. I had to go restroom and I ask the guy who said he was just helping them. He said ok and show me where the bathroom was.... (thanks by the way) Now im sitting outside with that lady and she seems very upset. I would be too if I was her I wouldn't wait 6 weeks and still going... anyway back to me, I have singer futura xl 580 embroidery I was trying to get dust off the thread covers and ended up pulling out silver wire. And that was reson I visited them however I call them before I left my house and the guy said it be $49 plus parts and they do repairs singer brand and they're closer then singer authorize repair center and it was $10 cheaper then singer authorized repair center so that's how I ended up there. Now it's almost 5 clock Older Caucasian male asked me whats going on so I explained to him and before I came to him I opened my singer to see if anything I see unusual but nothing except dust so that's why I'm here, my machine keep giving me errors saying check the thread. He said they don't repair singer Even i told him about gentlemen I talked to and he's website also said they repair singer brand. I don't know if he's the owner but he won't let me talk to teach. They also said they wouldn't repair just because I opened my own unit??? Then turn around it be 200 dollars or more and ask me to leave my machine with them.. omg I never had this type of treatment and I am upset because now I can't go drop off at the place I was going to go because they're closing 15 minutes. I'm very interested about their reviews I mean positive reviews... how? I hope people don't believe other people reviews on here. It's not true!!!! trust me you will regrets! To the customer who was complaining about A-1 Sewing not getting back with you for two weeks , recently, I have to say, remember WE ARE IN A PANDEMIC! We are lucky that A-1 Sewing has remained open during the Covid-19 outbreak so we, the sewists, could have our machines repaired and buy parts and machines as needed. I waited in line 1hour and

They held it for two weeks without doing any work or contacting me so I had to pick it up and take elsewhere.

I delivered the machine to them more than 10 days ago. They have not called back to quote a charge for repair. They are not answering phone calls and and several recorded messages to them have been unanswered. If they are closed, they should put a message to that effect on their phone. I am making masks and this lack of communication is unacceptable. I now have to assume that my machine is a hostage to fortune and buy another.

GREAT, and the gent who owns the shop spent over an hour with my wife making sure she knew how to operate the machine since it had been several years since she'd used it. It was GREAT that he did that because she learned things she didn't know and we left there extremely satisfied. NO CHARGE for the tutoring, either!!!

They repaired my machine and I haven’t had any problems with it since. They are a Janome Dealer and I have bought several machines from them. They sell a good product and give goo service

Machine came back with the same problem and no one could explain what had been done to the machine. Had to return for proper repair three visits altogether.

The folks at A-1 Sewing have always been very kind, professional, and have done an excellent job for us. I have never been charged more than $60 for their basic service, which I have always thought was very reasonable. I remember when my serger was in need of repairs other than the basic annual service a couple of years ago. They called me with a free estimate, explained the details of what additional repairs were needed, and gave me the choice whether to have the additional needed repairs done. | |Both my mother and I have always been and continue to be satisfied with the excellent service we have received from this company and will continue to trust them for all our sewing machine service needs

Repaired my industrial serger. They could not visit my establishment, I had to take it in and after repair, was not able to re-attach. They did send, at their expense, someone out to assist. I have had my machines worked on before by someone who would come out to my establishment for half the price of the one repair.

We went to A-1 with a specific machine name and model in mind. Gary talked to us about what I wanted and he made a suggestion for another brand. He had me sit and sew using the recommended machine. I liked it! He showed me everything about using this machine, answered all of my questions. offered a free lesson, told me all about the attachments that come with it that will be very helpful and gave me a book on the use of this machine. I went into the store thinking I wanted a Singer Plus One. My husband bought me the recommended Necchi EX30 and I love it. It made me feel good that he took my and quot;Princessand quot; 1968 Machine as a trade-in. They will fix it up and donate it to an organization that can do good for those who don't have. I took my sewing machine in for a tune up. They were prompt, and the machine is working great.

They were very welcoming as I entered the store and looked over the machine and said it would be no problem to get it running. They called in short time with an estimate to which I agreed. In a short time they called to say that the machine was ready. When I picked it up, they took the time to show me how to do things I was unsure of with that machine. It runs like a charm now.

Service was prompt. I left the machine off one day, received a call with an estimate within a day, and service was completed within 1-2 days, after that.

It went well.

I HAD TAKEN THE MACHINES TO 2 OTHER REPAIR SHOPS WHERE THEY TRIED TO SELL ME A NEW ONE. A-1 CLEANED, REPAIRED, AND REFURBISHED THE MACHINE VERY QUICKLY AND FOR A REASONABLE PRICE.
