I am a high end designers have built homes and done many many remodels this was the worst experience I have ever had! Started the project late, the owner told us someone I the office forgot to order flooring metal. Once they started the 2-3 day installation they advertise and tell you when you buy took 9 days and was never completely finished. They showed up for work the earliest 12 noon latest 3:30. Did not. Have proper tools or help used our tools nad my husband and son had to help lift metal floor panels and 16' roof panels in order for them to be able to work. When they showed up to do the roof it was with his 2 daughters and a 16 year old son. The walls panels are cooked dont line up, the roof panel were installed so they didn't line up on the ends. Some of the tiller wall panels didn't fit so they cut them on site and there are large gaps. They used ho tape measure to inalterable the roof panel the owner told his son to eyeball it! Nothing was straight on the roof! The panels were installed with 9'' screws some of which he hammered in because his drill want working. When we went up on the roof with our roofer who was putting on the soffit and the metal he pointed out screws sticking up many were put in crooked and did not attach properly to the trusses, the trusses he installed which were not installed parallel to each other. It also didn't not have enough scares to attach the roof ing panels. The roof was a mess. Were were told that the roof would be water proof to keep the inside dry until we added the metal, it leaked all over. Last day the owner approached our carpenter/roofer and ask him to come to work for him because he couldn't get help. Our workmen have spent days working to make repairs and alterations so they can install, the roof nad side panels. I only hope that once we complete this room we don't have ongoing problems but I think we will. My advice stay far away from this compay!

We live on the side of a mountain so having the crew bring it to us and also set it up was very much appreciated. The house is 12X12 with a shed roof. We have been searching for roughly two years for a building that was more substantial than a normal shed but not quite a house. This structure is everything that we had been looking for. The construction is steel with foam and a taped panel backing that is probably above standards for normal building. We will be able to easily put a metal roof and the siding of our choice on it. You could also easily outfit it to live in if that was your desire.
Dave and his crew arrived with the entire building on a trailer. That first day they put it together. The second day they put the finishing touches on it to get it ready for us to finish it out. They were able to put the door on the opposite wall and also set a double door instead of the standard single door. They also accommodated my need for it to be at the height that would easily accommodate a deck extension to our current deck.
I have been in construction all of my life and have never seen a building that went together so easily plus this sturdy. It is much stronger than a stick built home. The foam insulation with steel beams is also fireproof. My husband said, "If there is a forest fire, I'm going into the shed."
We were very impressed with Dave's professionalism as well as the nice crew that he had working with him. We hope that they will be able to come back next summer to see the "tiny house" shed once we finish it.
I would recommend this product for a larger home too. The way it goes together is amazing and accommodate any size project or be built on just about any type of terrain.

I contacted Kokoon in December of 2012 to start the process of building my new house. Upfront the president, Dave, seemed very helpful and responsive. I believed I had a clear understanding of the process so in March 2013 I purchased a set of blueprints in .DWG (AutoCAD) and sent them to Kokoon along with a $200 deposit. They were to modify the blueprints to fit their building process and them send them back to me so I could have them printed and get estimates from local contractors. Up to this point I thought the process was going well and was really excited about their whole product but things went downhill from here. They emailed me when they received my plans and told me I would have a revision the next day. A week later they sent me a .pdf that was a little off, I replied and noted the inaccuracies and they promised to have it corrected by the next week, which was mid-April now. Over the next two months I received nothing from them except that they would have it done in a few days or the first of the next week. By the end of June they finally sent me another file which was pretty much just a .pdf of the mspaint sketch I sent them in the first place. At this point after all the delays and missed deadlines for just the blueprints, deadlines they gave me themselves, I have no faith that they would actually deliver any materials anywhere near the timeframe they promise.
I can't afford to build the house I bought the blueprints for traditionally with a GC is why I chose a SIP house in the first place. I had corresponded with President Dave at Kokoon Homes for several months before I decided to purchase the house plans and began the process. I'm out $1500 for the blueprints and $200 for the deposit I gave Kokoon to begin my project. It's now September and I haven't heard anything back from Kokoon since June.
