Economy Transmissions

After picking up my SUV, I noticed that the rear view mirror was hanging by the cords instead of being on the windshield and that the knobs on my radio were broken off. The cover around the bottom part of my stick shift was pushed down so that it was hanging outside. When I tried to tune my radio on my drive home I found that all of my presets had been changed and I couldn't use the tuner knob at all. It just jumped around randomly from station to station. Not only that, but I had to hold the gear shifter in first, otherwise, it would just pop out while I was driving. When I called them to ask about all of these things, the owner said he noticed that my mirror was on the floor when he first got into my car (the day after I dropped it off). I asked if he was sure he saw it on the floor and he said he was positive because he had to pick it up to get it out of the way. I then told him that the mirror was hanging by cords so it couldn't be on the floor. He then proceeded to tell me that someone must have broken into my car and damaged it. I told him nothing was stolen (including a case of over 150 CDs) and reminded him that he had said my car was locked when he got in it. His response? "I don't know what to tell you but we didn't do it." So, basically, he wants me to believe that someone broke into my truck without leaving any marks or outside damage, vandalized the inside, screwed up the gears, and stole nothing but had the common decency to lock the doors before they left. To this day, it still slips out of first and sometimes out of third. My friend later told me that her father would have done the exact same job for half the price (and probably would have done it right without damaging the interior). I will never use Economy ever again.
