"Hunter was very knowledgeable, courteous, and most of all professional. He worked with me to get my appointment scheduled although his schedule was booked. He continued to communicate with me about the possible issues/causes of my chimney problem so that he would be prepared with the right equipment and parts on arrival. He arrived when he said he would and completed the job to my satisfaction. He went above and beyond what I expected. I would definitely use him again for any chimney issues I have. I will also recommend him to my neighbors who may also have issues with their chimneys. I was impressed with his workmanship."

"They did a great job. They solved all the problems I had with the chimney and it’s been working perfectly ever since. They also fixed a problem on the roof around the chimney; they replaced the wood around the chimney with a material that would never rot, so they fixed it even better than it was before. It took them a couple of days to do the work. They took care of all the cleanup as well. We've been real happy with them."

Chimney Sweep questions, answered by experts

Just about anything that can damage your roof can damage a solar panel. It’s common for panels to sustain damage from hail or falling branches. Critters can chew through the wires. Snow and heavy rainfall can cause additional wear, along with extreme temperatures, which can degrade or stress the individual components. Even the UV rays that create electricity slowly damage your panel over time.

Restoration involves assessing damage, cleaning, deodorizing, repairing structures, and replacing damaged items, following a detailed and systematic approach.

Depending on who’s doing the estimating, about 22,000 to 25,000 chimney fires happen each year in the United States. Given the fact that millions of Americans have fireplaces (and chimneys), that means chimney fires aren’t exactly common—but they’re not rare, either. Since they’re so dangerous, it’s important to take precautions to prevent them.

Ozone smoke removal uses an ozone generator to eliminate stubborn odors from sources like house fires, wildfires, or cigarette smoke. Ozone (O3) is a highly reactive, unstable gas that neutralizes odors by oxidizing the organic compounds it comes into contact with. During this oxidation process, ozone "donates" its extra oxygen molecule to the smoke particles, effectively eliminating their smell, with oxygen being the primary byproduct. While ozone can be effective for removing smoke smells from building materials and belongings like wood furniture, this treatment is best left to a professional, as improper use of an ozone generator can be dangerous to your health.

Homeowners insurance does not cover DIY mistakes, so tread lightly if you plan to tackle your own home repairs or renovations. If you cause damage to your home while attempting repairs or renovations yourself, the cost of fixing the damage is often considered your responsibility. Most policies only cover damage caused by covered perils like fire, theft, or weather—not by homeowner errors.
