They stripped the old rotten boards off the deck in preparation for the rebuilding. The old deck was spongy underfoot. They placed two 4x4 posts mounted in concrete footings with a support beam under the center of the deck. Then they used 2x6 deck boards instead of the standard 5 1/4x1 to provide better support. The deck is rock solid and will last for years. Michael routed the top plate to smooth out the edges. I had them stain it the same color as the fence which provides a two toned effect that I really like. I will try to submit photos shortly.
They removed any debris from the base of both sides of the fence in order to conduct a thorough staining. There was originally supposed to be two coats, but they had leftover stain, so they did another coat, which I am not sure would have happened with another contractor.
They replaced and painted fascia boards on different areas of the home that had termite and carpenter bee damage. You would never know they had been replaced.
The concrete steps look great and they painted a door frame where I had removed a storm door, without my asking them to do it.
Bottom line is that I will definitely be using them again.
