+ -1 moreThe wooden floor was a problem to remove and instead of taking one day it took 4-5 days to totally clean the slab. I asked Harvey if I needed to pay him more since it was such a problem. He said that he have given me a quote and he would stand by that quote. The pattern was complex with a dark marble border which went down first. When he opened the ivory marble it looked nothing like our samples which he brought to my attention. He worked with me while I contacted the supplier and exchanged the marble tile. The tile had some pieces which would break more easily and he was careful to avoid those tiles. The marble foyer is outstanding and greatly enhances the value of my home. Harvey works hard and does an outstanding job. He is a wonderful person which makes it pleasant to have him in your home. He is also honorable and trustworthy. I highly recommend him.
Description of Work: The job required the removal of 100 sq. ft of wooden floor in foyer which was glued to cement slab. The cement slab was then prepared for the laying of the tile. Harvey picked up marble tiles and brought to site which was not really included in the price. He did not charge me for that service. He designed the layout, cut, laid, and grouted the marble tiles. He cleaned grout from floor to achieve the beautiful finished product. The cost above was the labor charge only. The cost of the marble & supplies was $1225.60 for a total cost of $2,025.60 for an elegant marble foyer.
