"It was an exceptional experience to work with this company. They provided carpet samples that were superior to others I looked at. The installation was seamless. I love my carpet and am very happy I did business with them. Iâ m about to carpet another area and Iâ m calling them for my quote."

Small jobs welcome

"I had carpet removed in my moms mobile home and repaired some water damaged spots then installed vinyl .Teresa was wonderful to work with, I felt that we were a team on a mission to make my mom happy. She did exactly what she said she would do when she said she would do it. With me being over 100 miles away this meant a lot to me to have someone that cared about the customer. My mom loves her new floor. The workers did a wonderful job in fixing all of the bad spots they were caring in wanting everything done right they were clean and did a wonderful job. I am so glad that I found Fogels Carpet and Vinyl. I will use them again . Thanks Teresa"

Carpet Installation questions, answered by experts

Smaller carpet installations may take less than a day, while full-home installations can take several days. However, your carpet installation timeline will ultimately depend on a few factors, including the number of rooms you’re renovating, the project’s total square footage, and the carpet type. Installation will take longer if your carpet company needs to repair your subfloor or remove old tile flooring.

Yes, carpeted stairs are generally considered safer than stairs with hard surfaces like wood, vinyl, or tile. Carpet provides more traction and friction, which helps reduce the chances of slips and falls. Additionally, if a fall does occur, carpet offers more cushioning, which can lessen the severity of an injury. While hard surfaces can look great, they are often more slippery. However, it's worth noting that some carpets, especially if they are new, dirty, or have a slick texture, can also pose a slipping hazard. To improve safety on any type of stair surface, you can add traction treads to increase grip.

Carpet padding costs an average of $510 to purchase and install in a 225-square-foot room. The price can range from as low as $170 to as much as $850, depending on the brand, the thickness, and the labor cost. Although carpet padding will increase the overall cost of carpet installation, it also helps the carpet hold up longer, reduces noise in the room, and provides more insulation.

A stair runner can be cheaper than a carpet and will definitely save money over the cost of refinishing hardwood floors and stairs. The price depends, however, on the fabric and quality of the runner. A wool stair runner can be more expensive than an inexpensive polyester carpet and vice versa. Keep an eye on your budget, knowing that the higher quality the carpet and the carpet pad, the better the carpet will wear over time.

Avoid placing carpet in the bathroom or the kitchen. After all, moisture is no friend to carpeting. Beyond that, it’s down to personal preference. Some people dislike when a garage or basement features carpet, but others enjoy it.
