TruGreen Lawn Care - 5770

Do not trust this company especially the one that services the Fayetteville area. I've used this company in other parts of the country for lawn care and had no problems fast forward to now. Dishonest business doesn't do what they advertise. -Make sure you are home or someone else is available when they arrive or it's your own fault. -Billed for services not provided; a check of security camera proved that. (Busted) -Called customer service to speak with a manager only to be told that this happens where they may have treated the wrong home, offered to send a tech out again. Did not want to see video footages. -Email notifications alerted that tech was on the way twice in two days never showed called; suspended/canceled service and ask for a manager to call nothing happened.

We have a Tru Green rep that we call directly when we need service or have any issues and they always come right out. We have a large 50,000 sq. ft. lawn and they treat it 5-8 times a year as needed. They are wonderful.

They do a good job. It automatically bills. I pay for it at the beginning of the year. The quality is pretty good. They come out if I call them. They do whatever if you ask them to come back out. They call ahead of time and they show up when they say, unless it's raining. I'll continue to use them every year.

Sometimes they try to do aerating , but I try to get it as cheap as I can off some sign off the street. They try to do liming, but I try to use another guy because it's the same price as seed, where I looked at home depot. His thing was aerate, reseed and fertilize. Well I don't need fertilizer, because I have a company that does it. One of the reasons I didn't get it done right away was, they couldn't come out, just after the treatment had been done. So we rescheduled and something else happened. They were supposed to come out, but they came out anyway, I wasn't home. It was just getting to be a pain in the butt. So that's what happened. It's less than $500 per year.

They come out every - some interval - but I don't remember what it is. The cost is recurring; I don't pay for it in advance. I think it's like $55 or something a treatment. Yes we will probably continue to use them in the future because we're too lazy to look for anyone else. It's just grass.

Terrible lawn. Lots of weeds. Came back every time I complained, but saw no difference. Very expensive for what was promised.

No analysis was performed - no one talked to me or provided me with any info on my yard.  They just send out a guy, he didn't knock on the door and talk to me, he just sprayed and left.  When I asked about my promised yard analysis, no one seemed to know or care.  I canceled immediately.

We have gone through several different lawn companies. We are just trying to find one that will work. They kind of work. We have a really tough yard, so there's not much I can say. It is more than anyone can do. If it works, I will use them again in the future.

Fast forward to March. We received another call after I had not yet paid for the month because I was still waiting for someone to visit us to help us figure out why the grass looked the way it did! The very nice woman on the phone apologized and said she would make sure someone set up an appointment with us.
No one ever did. 
What terrible customer service.
I'm done with Trugreen. Our lawn looks awful - we also have noticed some mounds of dirt throughout the yard, which indicates there's some kind of pest as well. I should have looked for a new company much sooner.

AVOID, I have seen this trugreen stop at my neighbors house, leave a pamphlet on their door and not even spray the lawn, for the entire two years I used them my lawn was infested with weeds.

generic plan, couldn't get individual discussion, came on a schedule i was not privy to without notice, contract auto renewed.  Weeds still present in part of lawn, nobody available to discuss.  generally unresponsive to requests to meet with someone

I was very disappointed with their customer service.  When I signed up, I expressed to the customer service rep that my husband wanted to be there the first time the technician came and she said they would do that...they would email me before they came out with a date and approximate time...and the first visit was supposed to be an evaluation on how to treat the lawn.  We also wanted to make sure they understood our property line as we have a very odd shaped lot as well as point out some issues we were having.  They showed up with no notice, sprayed the lawn on the first visit and there have been no responses to my emails on their site about the analysis, etc.  So we let them come again and treat...the lawn is looking good but their customer service and communication leaves a lot to be desired. 

My wife left the house from the front door and went to the back yard for about 2-3 hours.   When she returned to the front door, she found the Tru-Green bill on the doornob:  for spraying the bushes.   The Tru-Green worker never went to the back yard, although he was supposed to.

They are consistent.

They have service in which you have a regular schedule to maintain control. They know the value of when that schedule is so that you can be present to take them to all of the critical areas. They will of course maintain the permitter. They want to of course come in and go under the sinks and go around the areas where pests can enter. If you have any problems in the intern of their regular schedule you just call them up and they will come out and make an application to take care of the situation. I have seen critters that have died right on the permitter. This means their work does work. All that is important to keep my wife happy.

It goes good. The main thing about TruGreen is that if you set up for repeated work you have to pay them before they come out to do the service.

Everything went well until I had mail transferred to my summer home. Somehow, bills didn't make it and had a 45 day balance. Then, their collection agent (a Scott?) began to call my home almost daily. The tone of his calls were insulting and negatively suggestive. The account was cancelled and "Scott" continued to call for close to two weeks afterward! Their corporate people were informed by fax, daily, that the account was cancelled, but "Scott" continued to call. After close to eight years of uninetrrupted promptly paid service, all I received from TruGreen Corporate was a form email...blah..blah....blah. Beware of dealing with companies that are owned by investment banks, they can be ruthless. I thought I was dealing with an ethical Christian company only to discover that they are owned by ruthless Wall Street types. TruGreen's behavior in collecting what it terms "overdue accounts" lost me. Those who work on the ground, I found to be decent people. But, their corporate management could care less about its customer base. The branch office I dealt with is out of Marietta FYI.

When they would come back throughout the year. They would mared that weeds were notcied. I called and see if they had treated them and they said no they had put down some fertilizer. Whenever I questione dthem about tit they said it a sthe customers fault becaue thetech knew what he was doing.

They have been managing our lawn for about two years now.

The last time they came out, they put too much fertilizer on the lawn, and it burned the grass. They always call me before they come out and do the lawn.
